We went to the pub on recommendation from the place we were staying at, so I can only hope it was a bad day. We both had seafood meals and both were below average. The seafood was overcooked, the chips from a packet and the salad was laughable. Hubby had australian scollops with no roe. It was overpriced and a... More

This is the go-to place for an evening meal in Richmond. Umm, that is to say... it's pretty much the only place for an evening meal in Richmond. As in, only place open. The potential is good. Character stone building. Warm log fire inside in winter. Reasonable pub grub. Some local wines (although not enough). Its strength though (only place... More

we holiday in tassie often, & always make it to richmond for a town walk, then to the hotel for a bistro meal. good size meals, always filling, plenty of indoor seating. olde world ambience. good range of meal choices.

Very disappointed with the food. My friend had the crumbed scallops, salad and chips. Scallops were over cooked, leaving them tough, with a burnt taste. I had the roast lamb and vegetables, lamb was quite nice, potatoes were dry, broccoli very very under cooked. Staff very friendly, pub needs renovating.

Great outdoor area for smokers - but I wish I had stopped there and didn't subject my self to the unpleasant and untrained staff, over priced drinks, and average food. The staff were sour and unpleasant, towards the customers and each other. You could cut the tension with a knife. The drinks are 'tourist' bar prices, making them very overpriced!... More

While I might not go out of my way to visit, the family meal we had at the Richmond Arms was a very comfortable affair - Enough privacy for reasonable conversation, sufficient variety on the menu for us all to find something, good basic cooking, reasonable prices and friendly quite efficient service. One of those occasions where I want a... More

Our meals were not enjoyable. They were unappetising and very basically presented and not really up to 2016 general standards. My husband ordered the roast beef and I ordered the whole grilled flounder , one of the 2 Fish of the Day specials, the other fish being grilled trevalley. When the meals arrived, my fish was trevalley. I asked the waitress... More

The Richmond Arms Hotel - Avoid, Avoid & Avoid! Where to start? 1. Over 1 hour wait for 5 meals 2. One guest ordered salad with no dressing due to dietary requirements and gets pasta salad and coleslaw laced with dressing. 3. One guest ordered Chicken Mignon which looked nothing like Chicken Mignon. It was basically a Chicken breast with... More

Pub food was great. We had steak chips and salad. All eaten. The diane and pepper sauces were very good. Easy to find. Has plenty of parking on the Main Street. We sat outside and it was pleasant. Service good also. Also good for motorbikes passing through. Toilets were clean.
