I had the good fortune of spending a magical night at Present Moment last year (2022) when I was in Troncones alone after my flights were snowed out. I spoke with the owner Tom about the possibility of coming back with a group, and I just went ahead and booked a magical week, and brought 15 of my favorite friends & family & colleagues back this month. We had an incredible time of doing yoga, eating delicious food, playing in the waves at sunset, taking local adventures with CostaNativa (hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and more.) The staff are all so kind, and always helpful, the gardens are spectacular, and every detail has been considered. I was lucky enough to stay in the master suite, which was truly magical. Tasteful art and wonderful design ideas are all around. Taking showers in the morning, I could watch the sun slowly creep up over the ocean. The yoga classes twice a day were excellent, and provided a wonderful range of teaching styles. We could teach when we felt like it and relax with the offerings that were already there as well. The massages were really excellent, and the food was sublime. We also explored the other restaurants in Troncones, which is a fabulous little surf town. I hope to be able to return someday soon! This is one of those reviews you hate writing because you don't want everyone to discover your secret, perfect place. I have been going here for years and it just gets better and better. The perfect location, right on a huge, swimmable beach, palm trees, sand, and amazing yoga classes. The restaurant staff is warm and professional. The new taco menu is SOOOO good. As are all the smoothies and juices. I love sitting in the little open air library when I have work to do, as I did this time. It is just as private or communal as you want it to be.

I just returned from hosting my first (but not last) women's retreat at Present Moment. Our experience was amazing due to the incredible staff, service, and accommodations. From the beginning, even as I was planning the retreat, Tom and his team offered expert service and support to make our experience second to none. The atmosphere is down to earth but luxurious, the food was five-star, and the service impeccable. I can't wait to return to Present Moment again and again. Thank you all so much for helping make our retreat experience one we will always remember!

If you looking for a relaxing beach environment that is not a tourist attraction, provides long hassle free beach walks, excellent organic food, smoothies and juices, daily yoga classes, massage and the most incredible friendly staff, Present Moment Retreat fits the bill. This is my second of many more to come visits to this magical resort with my dear sister. The resort is located in a bay of small fishing villages but also close to Zihuatanejo, a major city if shopping and Mexican markets is your thing. The rooms are open palapas with fresh ocean gentle breezes and the sound of waves lulling you to sleep. We have already reserved next years visit.

I love Present Moment Retreat....everything....the amazing people, the beautiful beach, the lovely pool, spa, yoga studio, restaurant, gift center, and room with a view. It is restful, peaceful, quiet and oh my goodness is the food ever so beautifully prepared and presented and delicious. It is my second time enjoying the Rest and Recuperation package with my beloved sister, and It will not be my last time. Oh, did I forget the massage opportunities...a range of amazing practitioners is available. Everyone seems set to make ones experience memorable. I love love love my time at Present Moment.

This place is absolutely magical. I came here on business because one of my clients, NextTribe, brings groups of women 45+ here every year. I haven't included photos because the photos don't do it justice. The video on their website really captures the spirit of the place. I brought my computer and left it in my open air palapa all week, along with cash, etc. Never an issue. This place is very chill, peaceful, and the food is great The staff is 5 star and all speak English if you're wondering. Every time we bring a group of women they all want to rebook so we added a third week this year. The sign of a great place is repeat business. This place, even though it's open and airy, feels totally safe, and the town feels like old Mexico. I never wanted to leave the property, except to go to the ocean and see the turtles. There's plenty of stuff to do but you can also just relax, do yoga, have a massage, and enjoy yourself. My best friend travels solo all the time, all over Mexico, too. I'll have her leave a review after she come back from her trip in March. After hearing me rave about it, she booked immediately! The photo is of our group at dinner the first night. No filter!…

I traveled alone to Present Moment Retreat for a yoga retreat. From the moment I arrived (late at night) I felt so welcome, so cared for, so special! And, the staff at PMR treat everyone like that -- all the time! It is amazing - every bit of it! The location is perfect - right on the ocean with the sound of the waves for your lullaby - yet close enough to walk into town! Troncones is a quick walk from PMR and there are great shops and authentic restaurants there - and along the way! The town is safe and welcoming! But... the little gem that is PMR is really special. The accommodations are unique and designed for rest and relaxation. The restaurant is welcoming and beautiful - with views of the beach and the ocean. The menu is varied and interesting and the food is delicious - but the staff are what make the restaurant shine! Everywhere at PMR, the staff are knowledgeable and kind and attentive. The amenities are just right! The big beautiful yoga platform overlooks the ocean - it feels like you could reach out and touch it. Perfect for evening sun salutations! The pool provides a perfect place to relax and unwind - and the spa offers a wide variety of massage services - and it is super-easy to schedule. And, the library that overlooks the ocean, stocked with books and comfy chairs! This place is incredible! There is a consistent theme of compassionate hospitality that permeates PMR. Every single staff member went out of their way to ensure that I felt welcome - they anticipated my needs, and really exceeded my expectations. I have already booked my return visit for next January! Present Moment Retreat truly -IS - a transformative rejuvenating experience. Five stars. Ocean-facing everything, right on the beach : yoga on open shaded veranda, meditation, massage and top chef healthy cuisine restaurant😍 I entered the New Year, 2023, on Prrsent Moment shores, a lone castaway seeking rest, and was warmly embraced by its Beauty, its Peace, and the gentle kindness of its wonderful staff. Every yoga class and every massage a healing and restorative experience. Not to forget the restaurant’s delicious healthy food, overlooking the ocean, offering fresh local food, amazing fresh squeezed wholesome juices and smoothies available all day. Mornings began with a quiet walk along a long stretch of pristine shore .. followed by lightly guided meditation facing the sea. ~ I am not an accomplished yogi… a smattering of yoga experiences in the ebb and flow of life .. yet the master yoga teachers reached each of us at our level… with light attentive adjustments and encouragement to listen to one’s body, (an all too often ignored reminder elsewhere.) 90minutes of morning Vinyasa Flow outdoors, with ocean view and rhythmic waves guiding the breath. Late afternoons, I relished the Restorative Yoga sessions. Total bliss. Total relaxation. And in between .. I treated myself to several high quality massage .. the Ayurvedic SO healing, the Swedish dream-inducing. Thai next time! Only 17 rooms … after a few days of chosen solo time, I mingled with other guests - a most remarkable mix of souls ! ❤️🙏🏽 ❤️ Gratitude fills me. ☺️. Our salon team came here to reset and rest. It exceeded every expectation that we all had. Where do I even start? First of all, it's breathtaking. The resort and the location of the resort, both. I had to remind myself that I needed to use my phone sometimes just so I could capture some memories in pictures. The shower was the first thing I wanted after a long hot day of travel, and it was like a glorious waterfall in paradise yet private and just went ahead and set the tone for the rest of the week. The food was clean, healthy, AND delicious. After a few days of the food and yoga and meditation and vitamin d, I felt like a brand new human. One that should do this for myself more often. It has jumpstarted a self care routine that I plan to continue. What a gift. It's hot in Mexico but the pool is shaded, and there are trees and umbrellas, and there is a ceiling fan in your bungalow, and also I got a floor fan from the front desk. I slept with the sound of the waves and like a baby. The town is cute, and fun to explore. The excursions are great and the massages are phenomenal. The staff knew be my name, and knew what I liked and didn't like by day 2. By day 7, I would call them friends. The service is 5 star and the staff who have all been there forever (i think that says a lot) are just the beautiful cherry on top. Tom is a beautiful human, and his vision come to life is a much needed oasis in a chaotic world. I can't wait to go back. The only bad part of the whole thing is leaving. Im still sad about it.
