Everything about Los Raqueros was absolutely fabulous. The overall ambience including beach, pool, authentic artwork, and native flora and fauna puts you in a great mood. Add to that the friendliness and quintessential competence of the staff, delicious food, local activities (we were directed to surfing, horseback riding, Mezcal tasting by staff) and the fact that the whole area is very authentic, not built up with giant white hotels crowding the beach. William was very knowledgeable about birds and plants and was always willing to answer questions. Belem arranged several delicious buffet meals AND a memorable beach wedding/vow renewal including a mariachi band and DJ with dancing AND a child's birthday party. I can't imagine anything they could have improved, it was all perfect!…
All I can say is that this is the perfect spot in Troncones. View was spectacular and the accommodations were amazing. Belem and William were so knowledgeable answering all of our questions and set us up with so many amazing experiences. Surfing, horseback riding and mezcal tastings just to list a few. The food here is top notch and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. A hidden gem that I can’t wait to tell everyone about! Thank you for an unforgettable vacation.
Covid delayed our honeymoon here by 2 years, but we finally made it. And it was everything we hoped for and more. Beautiful property, great room, the breakfasts were excellent and the days poolside and beachside were magnificent. Belem and William are everything you read and much more; truly the best, and lovely people genuinely hoping you have an outstanding stay. They helped set up a kayaking ecotour, a snorkelling expedition and a scooter to keep us mobile. Can't wait 'til our next visit. Thank you to all the staff for an unbelievable stay. Kate and Kyle.
I love the beach and being a wheelchair user often means forget going to the beach. Not the case if you stay at Los Raqueros in Troncones, Mexico. The hotel and restaurant were designed with wheelchair users in mind. From the reception area to the edge of the sand every detail is thoughtfully planned. The ramps are designed for easy usability and there is even a suite of two connecting rooms if a person with a disability travels with a personal care assistant. The pool has a ramp into the water and there is a sidewalk which allows a wheeler to roll to the edge of the sand. Then there is the helpful staff and a restaurant with delicious food.
We stayed at Los Raqueros this winter. It was a wonderful experience. Belem and William are amazing managers and will help with anything. We took a bird/butterfly walk with William that was wonderful. The property is gorgeous. The food is amazing. We liked it so much, we booked a room for 2 weeks next year. Troncones is a cute community and everyone is friendly. Great restaurants up and down the coast. Taxis are safe and drivers are so nice! It was one of the best vacations I have ever experienced.
Management outstanding, The property has never looked better and the addition of outstanding breakfast with optional lunch & dinner makes this a one stop retreat. Manager's husband provides expert knowledge of birds and the natural environment with tours upon request. All the staff work very hard to make you feel welcome & keep the place sparkling clean. We didn't want to leave!
Alright, I'm a little biased, but we have been coming to Los Raqueros for the last 17 years, which ought to say something about the property, its management, and the setting in general. With regard to the property: this is a unique place…a boutique property with a variety of lodgings and services within a gorgeous setting on Manzanillo Bay, just north of Troncones on the beach road. The primary building/"casa grande" is where the reception office, kitchen and bar are located…a good meeting point, an area where impromptu socializing occurs, and where information can be obtained (or services booked) through the very knowledgeable (and friendly) resident manager, Belem. In the casa grande, there are two beautiful quartos and a second-story , larger apartment to rent. Behind the casa grande are six, modern beautiful suites of varying size and amenities. The two smaller casitas with outdoor kitchens (one of them fronting right on the beach!) are a little more rustic and laid-back (perfect for our style of travel/vacation). Raqueros has the best beachfront location, perfect for swimming and with direct access to the surf break. There is a handicap-accessible pool for use by all, providing another great option for hanging out and staying cool. Manzanillo Bay is a little jewel of a bay with great swimming, good snorkeling, and a little surf break. Raqueros has a great aspect to it, well-positioned for viewing the sunset every evening with the guests (who quickly become friends). Local vendors in town have the freshest fruit, vegetables and fish (many deliver)...making it easy to prepare some of your own meals (or banding together with some of your new friends to create a feast for all). The quick walk to the little fishing village of Majahua provides the authentic, small-town dining experiences one comes to Mexico to sample...or you can easily find good food in a couple of restaurants on the beach, just steps away from Los Raqueros. The bar at Raqueros has an inventive menu of food and drinks, and will also arrange for their chef to prepare a special meal for you and your family/friends with advance notice...a wonderful experience to enjoy after a great sunset. This is a place to relax, walk, swim...and reconnect. The services are right on, and the staff are completely accommodating and friendly! We will be back for Trip #18!…
We have been to Troncones before, but this was our first time at Raqueros. It is an undiscovered gem and part of us hopes that it remains this way, but Belem and William needs recognition for the perfect balance between tranquility and hospitality against the backdrop of perfect sunsets every day. Every day here was peaceful and perfect!
There is a charming beachside town just a few clicks away from the busy Ixtapa resort area. Troncones Guerrero won’t be a hidden gem forever! Delightful Restaurants, surf guides and yoga clubs add style and excellent eats on the beachfront road. When you get near the West end of the road and Manzanillo Bay you have arrived! Los Raqueros is Waiting for you, it calls itself a Bed and Breakfast but trust me it is a gorgeous resort! Exceptions value for the most stunning beach I have ever seen. Lovely staff and a property teaming with flora and fauna, delicious breakfast included! I can’t gush enough, if you’re Mexico curious or regular gringo You will fall in Love…..
The beauty of the Bay is enjoyed well at Los Raqueros. You can’t say enough. The staff, the rooms, the grounds, the pool…..Belem and William are buds and will take care of you. As a physical therapist I was impressed, no…delighted to see the handicapped access. Even into the gorgeous pool! We love Troncones and Los Raqueros is now the place to stay. Great job guys. Sigh. Miss it already.
