One of the best resorts we’ve visited. Siete Lunas is perfectly located outside of Sayilita square. It has a private and tranquil vibe. There are only 7 romantic villas. Super cute with a canopy bed and beautifully tiled showers. Everyday we were greeted by the most mesmerizing sunrise of Sayulita Bay. Our view was absolutely breathtaking. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Adrianna, the manager continuously made sure everything was perfect. Fatima was the sweetest!! She catered to our every need as we ate our delicious FREE breakfast every morning!! From fresh fruit with yogurt and granola to pancakes and scrambled eggs with refried beans. I looked forward to their tasty jalapeño salsa every morning!! And then there’s Bond...James Bond, 007...Arturo!!! He really was the host with the most. He was present and hands on to ensure we made the most wonderful memories during our stay. He made sure we had a cart to cruise around town, helped us with a trip to Islas Marietas with a taxi ride to Punta Mita...which was a out of this world type of excursion. Our stay at Siete Lunas and the staff was 5 Stars!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We will be back. Thank you. Love Kurt and Joanne♥️♥️

We were in the mood to escape Vallarta and quickly booked Siete Lunas for one night... we enjoyed our stay so much. The staff could not be lovelier or more helpful. Special thanks to Fatima, Adriana and Arturo! The views are spectacular and so great to take them in from the spacious comfortable palapa rooms or from the plunge pool. The location is great with Playa Los Muertos and Sayulita just a short walk away. Arturo aka James Bond is great at the bar and will serve up expert margaritas and pina colodas. All in all a great place for which to explore the Riviera Nayarit with Sayulita a short walk away and beautiful San Pancho a close cab ride away as well.

After a bad experience at another hotel this quiet hotel near Sayulita was our saviour. The staff were great, they made us feel like we were at home. You can walk in to town easily, but the hotel is very tranquil. It was a lovely way to finish our holiday.

We stayed at Siete Lunas in late February with another couple and stayed in rooms 5 & 6. Overall, we all came to the conclusion that the pluses outweighed the minuses and that if we were staying in Sayulita we would stay there again. Pluses: - The views from the rooms are incredible. Breathtaking actually. Rm 6 actually had a better view because a palm tree partially obstructed the view in Rm 5 but you won't be disappointed with the view from either. - This is a small hotel - only 7 rooms (two rows, four rooms on the bottom and 3 on the top near the pool and dining area) - so it never feels crowded. - Location is away from town and is very, very quiet. I does get pretty noisy and busy in Sayulita so we appreciated the distance. Before we went we were a little concerned about the distance to town. Especially when we arrived in our taxi which goes up a steep windy road. But once there we realized that there is a walking path that splits off from the main road and it is an easy 10-15 downhill walk to town. Note that most of the way is a dirt road - but wasn't a big deal for us. A couple of times we decided to walk back up to the hotel but most of the time we took a 100 ($5 USD) peso taxi ride back up. - The people working at Siete Lunas are really, really nice. We saw Diego most of the time and he was great! Always smiling and joking. Makes a mean margarita. - Heated pool. The pool is small but is amazingly heated. On some days we were there the weather was a little chilly and the pool was great. Like a giant hot tub with amazing views. - Wifi is fast and reliable. Just have to point that out because others on this board have said the opposite. Not true. Minuses - People on this board have mentioned that the hotel is a little worn and I can't really dispute that. However, it's more like deck worn - as in needs some refinishing but totally usable and clean and tastefully furnished. I was actually surprised how remodeled and large the bathrooms were. I can image how hard it must be to keep the elements from beating up the finish. So if you are expecting the Ritz Carlton you will be bitterly disappointed. On the other hand if you were staying at the Ritz Carlton you would have to stay in the Presidential Suite and pay hundreds more for the same view. Observations Arrange for transportation to and from with the hotel. Was super easy and very comfortable ride. Every taxi driver in Sayulita knows where Siete Lunas is but can't say the same about drivers from other towns. Surprisingly no bug bites! Not sure how or why. They provide bug coil to burn which we did but still - pretty amazing. Maybe it's the time of year we went.

I wanted to love this Hotel! I love small family owned and operated business and I try my best to support them whenever possible. However, Siete Lunas fell short time and time again. It’s clear at one point this Hotel was really a unique and sought after place to stay. These days the rooms are showing their age and lack of up keep. The room was weathered and poorly kept up. The roof (thatched) had been “repaired” poorly and leaked heavily during the rain. Our insect net over the bed, was stained and dirty. No complimentary water was supplied which is unheard of for a hotel at this price point. The small water bottles located in the tiny fridge are available for a cost more then 10x what you would pay in the market. The hotel is located high up in the Jungle. A solid 15 minute walk into town. It feels very removed and peaceful which is great! However, there is much road work being done in town and many streets are currently closed. The only route to the hotel has little to no signage. If lost don’t count on calling the hotel, they have only a message machine. In fact everyone leaves the hotel (employees) at 6pm everyday and you are on you’re own from that point. You’d be wise to have an international phone plan as their WiFi doesn’t work and your room has no land line. When checking in my credit card was over charged. I mentioned this to the manager who informed me it had already been processed. When I explained to her that isn’t an excuse and I planed to pay only what I booked the room for, well that when things went pear. She told me their internet was down so she could not refund my card. Weird as they had no trouble charging it? She told me upon checking out that she would refund my card the next day when the internet was working again. Days went by no refund. I was unable to call and talk to her as no one answers the phone. I finally reported the charge to my credit card company only to have her contest the disputed charge. I had a hand written receipt the manager provided me with regarding my refund but clearly she never intended to refund my money. As far as I’m concerned it was theft. The woman that manages this hotel is SHADY and not to be trusted!!! During our 4 day stay we were either the only guest or 1 of 2. With only seven rooms total to fill it’s clear they have fallen on hard times. Perhaps this is why it was so difficult to have my over charge refunded. I’m sad this place turned out to be such a disaster. The location is great assuming your ok with a lot of up hill walking. The views are to die for. The staff is wonderful and kind when present but it’s clear the woman running the Hotel has only her best interest in mind. The staff deserve better leadership. This hotel could be something great. I’m certain at one time it was great. I will never return here without a change in management.
