Villa Amor is an inspired collection of oceanfront villas, each uniquely designed and individually decorated – a wondrous fusion of creativity and old world charm. Most villas boast stunning views of the ocean and coastline, lush jungle hillsides, and the surfing / fishing village down the road. You will never want to leave – but if you do it’s only a few steps to gold-sand beaches and a flat 10-minute walk to town.

We went to Sayulita without actually booking a hotel (we were in Punta de Mita prior). When we showed up we basically stumbled into Villa Amor. Upon arriving we were met by Jesse who was extremely helpful and actually MADE our stay. He is the reason we are planning to make another trip back to Villa Amor in October. He met my boyfriend at the front of the hotel and proceeded to show him a few of the villas and allowed us to choose whoever one we wanted. He made arrangements for golf carts, excursions, restaurants, etc. He was the absolute BEST! The room was amazing! We stayed in Villa Serena, it was absolutely beautiful! The doors opened up in the bedroom so we had the most amazing view. We did yoga in the room and the palapa by the pool in the mornings... it was remarkable. We had dinner and/or drinks at Si Señor every day we were there. Jorge and his team took such great care of us and made us feel like family. I highly suggest you get a piña colada from Si Señor, they make a pretty special one! All in all because of Villa Amor, Jesse and Si Señor, we will be doing the same exact vacation 4 months after doing it the first time. Can't wait to go back to Sayulita!

I stayed in the Vista Verde suite in Villa Amor for 2 weeks in June and it was literally the most magical place to stay. A huge king bed and 4 big folding glass/wood doors that swung open to a majestic deck with bamboo railings. When I woke up every morning I turned on the coffee maker, swung open those doors and the sounds of birds and fresh ocean air washed over me. The bathroom was pretty awesome and had a walk-in shower and windows behind the 2 sinks opened wide to make you feel like you were brushing your teeth on mountain tops of green! Sayulita is a magical place but it would not have been the same if I didn't have the paradise of my little queendom suite to retreat to. I poked my head into a few of the other suites and none of them compared. Make sure to get the Vista Verde suite, the best place in Villa Amor!! PS-my only issue with it was that the lighting in the bathroom wasn't that great and it was hard to apply mascara or put on makeup....although I was thankful for this and ended up not wearing makeup the entire time!! Secret blessing in disguise!

We planned a last minute trip to check out Sayulita for the first time in March, and managed to book at Vista Verde to our delight. This studio was perfect for us, with a spacious bathroom, bedroom, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave set up, plenty of fresh drinking water in the room, and a great balcony with lounge chairs and table/chairs for enjoying coffee and fresh homemade banana bread in the AM (find the local selling it on the street below each day!). Our room was cleaned up each day and left it as perfect as the day we arrived. We loved that we could go downstairs to Si Senior, the local restaurant and bar, to grab a quick beverage and snack anytime. The super friendly staff at Si Senior took the Durado we caught and made us a special dinner one night right on the cliff. It was an amazing experience.

Villa La Paz at Villa Amor is perfection! First of all, the service, accommodations and amenities are top notch. When we booked our stay, the resort helped us arrange to have a driver pick us up at the airport in a large SUV, and he was also there on time to take us back to the airport when we left. The check-in process was easy and the people who work there are very friendly and accommodating. Three of us stayed for six days in the AMAZING Villa La Paz suite. It has two large bedrooms with bathrooms en suite, plus a half bathroom, a kitchen area and TONS of room to spread out. I love how it has an indoor/outdoor vibe. There are some stairs to get up to the villa, but that means you get perfect views of the ocean/coastline since it’s a little higher up! Villa Amor is very private and safe, there is a gate with key code entry so only guests are allowed. The grounds are well kept and had lush tropical plants everywhere, simply gorgeous. We stayed in October 2019 and the Villa La Paz suite had recently been updated with a huge palapa covering pretty much all of the seating areas, so it was nice and shaded throughout the day. There’s also a little plunge pool right on the patio! Both bedrooms have an excellent air conditioning unit so it was always cool inside, perfect for when you're sleeping or relaxing after a day at the beach, which is located just out front of Villa Amor. Location, location, location! The furnishings in Villa La Paz are charming and comfortable too, nice art, bedding, tiling etc., and everything was super clean. Filtered drinking water was also provided. The shops and restaurants are all within walking distance, but we chose to rent a golf cart during our visit (which the front desk arranged) so we could cruise around quicker and travel a bit further; like to the open air market where we had so much fun finding hand-crafted treasures. The restaurants are very reasonably priced so you can basically eat out for every meal, which we did. Plus, I had no idea how amazing the food would be in Sayulita! I'm kind of a foodie, and I still think about the meals I had while I was there. We ate at Mary's almost every day, the Mary's Shrimp Taco was insanely good and the Chicken Mole at Sayulita Cafe was incredible! Si Señor restaurant/bar is right out front of Villa Amor and a little more upscale. It’s an open-air, beachfront setting with tables right over the water, it was so beautiful. We ate at several places and all of the food was fresh and delicious, no one got sick. Also, I would suggest bringing pesos with you because it's just easier when paying for things. On our last day we arranged with the front desk to have a massage on site. The massage tables are in an outdoor area set back in the tropical foliage, it was a relaxing oasis; we wished we had done it every day! Some other amenities we enjoyed: free wifi, soft bathrobes, free yoga daily, toiletries in the bathrooms, flatscreen tv, housekeeping services and outdoor pools. I highly recommend staying in Villa La Paz at Villa Amor, it was a WONDERFUL experience and I can't wait to go back!!!

Beautiful resort. Stayed here a couple days for a wedding in February, and my wife and I really enjoyed our time. Walking distance to the beach, and walking distance to the main square. Depending on your room, you may have to walk up a couple flight of stairs - didn't bother us, but be aware if you don't like to walk up a bunch of stairs. Also depending on your room, great views of Sayulita. I would recommend and come back again.
