This hotel was exceptional! Literally in front of the ocean, steps away from the sand. Its clean, bright and Eco-friendly. NO TV! It was exactly what we were looking for. The staff was friendly and available 24 hours a day. This hotel is in the middle of everything. Awesome restaurants, local stores and the street-market place. I highly recommend Hotel VIsta Oceana. I can't wait to visit again this year.

I am writing this review pass midnight after actually having to call 911 for noise complaint. Avoid getting a room facing the Street, or avoid this hotel AT ALL, if you want a good night rest. Otherwise you might as well go down and sleep on the bar that is down stairs of the hotel, or sleep on the street because it is sooo loud that is like you are practically there. I talk to the hotel administration and they did nothing. They went to the bar, turn down the music for like 5min. (Turn down is sort of saying, because is loud enough to keep you awake). And after 5min they would turn up the music to max volume! The hotel should control this kind of situations as it is their business to have happy well rested guests. Or if they cannot control it, or think is not their concern, then people should know what they are paying for. A terrible experience even with a great location!

Beautiful location in the middle of all the action and right on the beach. We had a great stay except for some neighbors that were in the mood to party all night (Monday!)The 2 penthouses have a beautiful patio that you would think would be reserved for the people paying “penthouse” pricing but it turns out that the patio is open to all guests which is completely wrong. So between you and your ocean view you have people hanging out drinking and smoking and hanging out in hammocks which is not my idea of a “penthouse” at all!! Besides that, the hotel is great and the town is very unique. Room #7 is the way to go if you want an ocean view and privacy, and you can sleep with the windows open because it is on the second floor with a private balcony.

We stayed at Oceana Vista mid January 2018 and I was surprised to find that this hotel had only been reviewed once on Tripadvisor. We had an amazing check in and experience with GM Betsy Ramos. She was lovely and SO helpful. Rooms Many of the rooms have bunk beds which are great for people traveling in surf groups or friends. The room we stayed in had a balcony overlooking the beach, a king bed, and a little kitchenette area as well as a pullout. It was perfect and decorated beautifully with an extremely comfortable bed! There is a gorgeous rooftop patio that all guests are allowed to us to lounge or have a cocktail. We ate dinner at Don Pablo’s which is a beautiful restaurant located literally across the street from Oceana. There was live salsa music and lessons after dinner. A must if you’re in Sayulita! As well, we headed to Chillum Surf House for a cocktail and had THE best cucumber margarita of my life!! The owner is so warm and welcoming and organizes special trips to the hot springs or hidden surf spots. All in all Sayulita is amazing and Oceana is the best location and best hotel I saw!

You can’t get closer to the beach. Watch the surfers from your balcony. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. Nice to have a refresher in the room. No parking at the hotel, but they will help you find a lot for your car. Restaurants and shops everywhere. Fun, funky town to visit.
