I booked my parents this hotel, because it was a good location and at first everything looked good and clean, but on the first day my mom jewelry disappeared. They had to go to police about that, nothing was found. After leaving to go home to St.Petersburg they were missing an envelope with my moms documents (visa, passport, important things!), when they called to the hotel they said that doesn’t happen and they can’t help, you have to call in an hour and talk to the manager. In an hour everything was found, but my mom had to personally picked it up! Next day she flyes there , gets her envelope with documents and jewelry in there too. No one was apologetic, the staff had an attitude and they basically went through her luggage to find all of that! Very disappointed in a hotel, would not recommend!…

The Posadsky Hotel is about 400 meters from the monastery making the location excellent. From the 4th floor you can see the bell tower and domes from the monastery. Due to a booking misunderstanding we ended up with a regular room and a suite, rather than two regular rooms. Both were good with comfortable beds and bathrooms. The suite included an entry way, living room, and bedroom. It was very comfortable. The food was good and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our error in dinner time. They put together dinner on a tray that we were able to bring to our room and return it in the morning. Breakfast good except that they were always out of coffee. I found an expresso shop near the monastery that took care of my caffeine fix. We expect to come back to Sergiev Posad some day and will most likely stay here again.…

Location is great, the center of the city, it's a few minutes by walk to the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra or toys museum. There is not cafe or snack-machine, but there is a grocery on the corner, and 24-hours grocery across the road. Hotel has a big free parking, rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. Air-conditioning, refrigerator, tv and even teapot is included. Breakfast is quite common, but has all the necessary meals such as corn flakes, yogurt or fried patatos with chicken. You can also take some meal away, it's not a problem. Good place to stay if you are going to visit Sergiev Posad.

The hotel location is good, close to main attraction and bus stop. The room is clean but with smell of cigarette. We book double bed but got twin beds instead. The staff is not friendly and refuse to register foreign tourist if they stay only 1 night which is nightmare. The coffee maker in every room they advertise is in fact small water boiler, and of cause your coffee. Breakfast is small and poor in selection. All these made this hotel seems overpriced to us.

Positive: - location: in the very center of Sergiyev Posad (shops, cafes, McDonald's, transport - at arms length), one-minute-walk to gorgeous Lavra, not far from the railway station; - nice and comfortable rooms; - polite staff. Negative: - in summer (evenings) loud music is everywhere: in the hotel restaurant and in the restaurant next to the hotel (till 11 pm, so that it is difficult to sleep); - breakfast (included in the price) is rather poor, there is no chance to choose whatever you really want - you are supposed to eat what they serve; the restaurant prices are high (like in Moscow); - wi-fi only in lobby; - car parking near the hotel is not secured: citizens usually spend their free evening (and night) time drinking beer and sitting on the parapets of the central square - that is, practically on the cars of the Posadsky hotel visitors =) In whole, hotel is good to spend your nights there.
