We stayed in this place three times now, always in winter, on our way to the French Alps. Two out the three times it has snowed quite heavily (it is at about 800 meter high there) which made it really very nice - the lake frozen and covered in snow, white everywhere. It is a simple hotel, I think 3... More

With the arrival of spring my friend and I decided to visit this restaurant which he had eaten at in the past. We walked around the lake through the animal park and to the restaurant. Had a great table inside overlooking the lake. Staff was more than pleasant with a good sense of humor. There was a menu but a... More

The room where we stayed at was ok; except only French TV channels were working and there was not shower curtain in the bathroom so after having had a shower the floor of the bathroom was very slippery and even dangerous. The person in charge that night was arrogant, presumptuous and fake Very complicated but poor menu The Price does... More

We were disappointed with L'Ancolie. It was our last night in France, after a great three week holiday but it failed to deliver. On the positive side, it has a quiet location next to a lake. Unfortunately the rooms are of a very average standard and certainly not good value for money. Our bathroom was particularly poor. A small bath... More

Having lived in this region now for 5 years I am wondering how I managed to miss this wonderful restaurant. It is one of those places that I have been thinking of going to but as I don't pass it regularly it drops off my radar. Well...having eaten there twice now in under 2 weeks, I won't be forgetting again!!... More

The service was not acceptable and done by an amateur. He made only mistakes and we never had excuses. The food was just average but not extraordinaire. The place is charming but that's all. It is too expensive for the value we got.

I booked on 27th March 2010 for Room 1 for my friends and Room 5 for my husband and me. What a farce! We arrived to be told we had Rooms 6 & 9! WHY!! It was Bastille Day - (no excuse) for a booking in July. We gave up our room for our friends, as Room 9 was horrible.... More

Lovely location overlooking the municipal lake. Leisure park and wildlife park nearby. Rooms very comfortable in typical French style. Friendly staff. The real prize here, though, is the restaurant. The hotel has only 10 rooms but there were at least 30 cars outside by the end of the (Thursday) evening. Not cheap at 39 - 69€ per head and the... More

We stopped here for one night on our way back to Switzerland and it was the perfect choice for a one-night respite. We found the staff to be unimpressive but the location and accommodations were excellent. It is on Lac des Dronieres just on the edge of the town of Cruseilles. We took our two small children for a walk... More
