La Rabassière is a comfortable family home set in open counryside with magnificent views. All the main tourist attractions in Provence are within an hours drive. The three acres of South facing terraced gardens are mostly given over to 300 olive trees, but there is a tennis court, 12x6m pool, croquet lawn and boules. We enjoy cooking, conversation, music - grand piano in tune in the drawing room, reading - about 500 books in my library and walking: often in the woods and vines behind the house.

A lovely B&B with views over L’Etang de Berre. Charming rooms, a delightful host who conjures up wonderful meals, and comfortable, welcoming interiors. A perfectly relaxing place, enjoyable in every way.

With a warm welcome and delightful atmosphere, I relaxed into my holiday as soon as I arrived. Staying at Mas de la Rabassiere is more like staying at someone’s lovely home than a b&b. My bedroom was comfortable and created with a great combination of English charm and Provençal style, including local beauty products in the bathroom, and had a spectacular view across olive groves and gardens towards the Etang de berre. I enjoyed playing croquet, swimming, walking in the surrounding countryside and exploring the library shelves. Meeting other guests over a delicious dinner on the terrace was always fun and engaging. Michael was a perfect host, and fabulous chef, advising on my exploration of Provence and creating perfect day trips. Happy memories of a wonderful stay, thank you so much!

This was the perfect end to our two week French holiday before flying back from Marseille. We received a very warm welcome and Michael Frost couldn't have been a more attentive host. This was a long established B&B that acted like the best of Relais et Chateaux. Unusually for a B&B a delicious dinner was available (and enjoyed). We'll definitely return.

Great place! Just spend two days on a business vacation, came on the right place at the right time. I didn't know precisely what to expect, I had booked there because of the pool and the warm forecast. Just 5 minutes there and I felt home. The maid showed me the room, nothing luxurious, but clean and cosy, all necessary equipment, airco working well, confortable bed, clean bathroom, and direct access to the pool, exactly what I was looking for. The pool, surrounded by tall trees, centered in the garden, offer you a great sight of the property. Michael, the owner and host is very welcoming and kind. And a brilliant man as well, I would have learned a lot from him if I had stayed longer. I had breakfast and dinner, everything is excellent, well done. It was my first time but not the last, I am looking forward to come back here with my girlfriend, on vacation this time. Lovely.

Merci beaucoup Thibaut. Ce sont des réactions pareilles qui nous encouragent à continuer après 25 ans de chambre d'hôte. Et le fait d'avoir partagé une soirée conviviale avec nous. Michael

Having myself had a super holiday stay at the Mas de la Rabassière, I have twice booked the entire house out for a week-long music course. Students, teachers and organisational staff have all thoroughly enjoyed Michael's warm welcome, incredible food, interesting conversation on every possible subject and in most possible languages, and willingness to help whatever the issue. He is also one of the very few individuals to have persuaded a transport driver that in fact the van is not too big to back up the road, and deliver the instruments. Thank you Michael for our wonderful collaborations.

I enjoyed it all too, and love having musicians in the house. My 1900 Bluthner is generally in tune, but on this occasion the guests brought their own (7) harps.
