We truly enjoyed our experience and stay at Cady Carriage house! I would highly recommend it. Gretchen was our host and was wonderful in explaining where things are and giving us a mini tour of the cottage. Very comfortable. It felt like you were stepping back in time with the antiques and decor throughout the cottage. Will definitely go back again soon!

We visited Hermann at the end of Octoberfest, when things were "winding down" which is just the way we like it. We selected Cady Carriage House for the privacy, and we will return for all the other wonderful features of this B&B! The decor is charming, very English country, full of fun artifacts, books and lovely folk art. All the practical amenities are there too, including a jetted tub, separate shower, Keurig-type coffeemaker. There's no TV, but who watches TV anyway? There's free and very secure WiFi for all your devices. The owners are super-nice and pay attention to every detail, plus they give you all the privacy you want. There's a cozy front porch, secluded, for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The location is just a short walk to restaurants, museums, shopping, and the Riverside Park. W

We stayed here for two days while cycling the Katy Trail. We wanted to have our rest day in Hermann to enjoy the old town, but as it turned out, this little place was by far the highlight of our stay. It's a very cozy one-room place. It's packed full of nick-knacks and antiques, and we felt like it was a little retreat. Breakfast was truly a gourmet delight each morning. I have to say that if we went back to Hermann we'd have a hard time making a decision to stay anywhere else.

We have traveled multiple times to Hermann (MO), and have absolutely fallen in love with it and the neighboring community, Washington, every time. While previous hotels/lodging have been great, CAdy Carriage House B&B takes it to a whole new universe. Chris (the owner) makes this place hum -- a quaint, cozy, quiet, 1-room retreat cottage complete with incredible homemade desserts and exquisite breakfasts. We truly felt like we were family to Chris. Do yourself a favor and reserve CAdy Carriage when you visit Hermann as nothing else can possibly compare. There is no reason to go anywhere else for your next Hermann (MO) trip. We will be back!

I found the Cady Cottage online and after looking at tons of pics, was completely intrigued. I called to see if by some crazy chance, she had an opening... and there had just been a cancellation so it was available quickly! I had no idea how amazing this place truly was until I stepped foot into it. There is so much to see inside this lovely place. And it's all GORGEOUS! We had never been to Hermann before, but my husband was gonna have a hard time getting me out of this place to explore the town! I joked around and threatened to stow away under the bed! Seriously... like no other place I've ever been. They really did think of of everything. There is a beautiful and comfy, 4 poster bed with amazing bedding situated right when you walk in. The decor was so interesting and detailed everywhere the eye can see. Pictures do not do this place justice. The cottage is a book lovers dream come true! There are dozens upon dozens of books to read, as well as magazines and beautiful, antique picture books. There are 2 very inviting, overstuffed chairs to curl up in, a loveseat near the fireplace for cuddling, and even a kitchen table for eating in. The cottage has a fridge, coffee maker stock full of coffees and creamers of all flavors, and lovely teas as well. There is no tv, but honestly we didn't miss it all. There is a CD player (and a good selection of CDs) and wifi. We were going to bring our laptop in case we wanted to watch a movie but I'm so glad we didnt. It gave us a much needed chance to reconnect and relax without media. Very peaceful and much needed. There's a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom for further relaxation. It sure did hit the spot at the end of a long day. It rained through most of our stay and it really added to the ambiance, listening to the rain hit the roof. Chris, the hostess, was absolutely the most hospitable and interesting individual. I felt like her and I were kindred spirits right away. She picked us up from the train station and showed us around town, then brought us to the cottage and showed us around a bit, answering any questions we had. She was very accommodating and gracious. She had yummy homemade desserts waiting for us in the fridge, which was a nice touch! She spoke with us about breakfast in the morning, asking what WE wanted her to make! The woman sets the bar high, I tell ya. The next morning she had tailor-made the food to meet exactly what we wanted. It was really the most incredible breakfast I've ever had. She served it on her sunporch next door and again, the decor, was just amazing. She has such an eclectic variety of collections and antiques. The table was set to perfection as well. She served us graciously then left my husband and I alone to enjoy breakfast. We plan on being back to this magical place very soon and highly recommend it to anyone that loves to be surrounded by beauty and just needs some r & r.
