We had a great time at Abigail’s to celebrate our “baby moon” getaway. Gary and Laurie were very accommodating, sweet, and took interest in making sure we had a good time. The breakfasts were incredible and the rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Hermann itself was very fun. Great food and many fun things to do. The town was kind of slow on a Monday - Wednesday in March, but that is to be expected.
Great food, very accommodating and concerned hosts, while all the conveniences of being able to walk downtown to the bars, restaurants, and some wineries. Gary made sure we were well cared for, even blowing the snow off the walkway and making sure there was plenty of ice melt. The breakfasts and desserts didn't disappoint! Would definitely stay there again!
We had a wedding to attend Saturday night and ended up staying at Abigails. I will say that this is one of the cleanest places that I’ve been in a long time the decorations are fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was perfect. But I have to rave the most about the shower. I have not had that good of water pressure in my lifetime I don’t believe. The brownies you receive when you check in and in the evening are fantastic and the breakfast was unbelievably delicious all in all I would say this is the best day we’ve had in a long time. Thank you very much to the staff of Abigails you did a fantastic job
My husband and I loved the very special treatment we received at Abigails grape leaf b & b!!! We arrived to a delicious dessert for our first evening there- so yummy! Each breakfast was delivered hot to our room and was so tasty! The presentation of each breakfast was beautiful! We had French toast with strawberries the first morning along with sausage and scrambled eggs. Fresh Fruit also came with our first breakfast . Orange juice along with hot coffee was served also each morning! On our second day our dessert waiting for us after a fun day visiting the shops and wineries In Hermann was a pear tart.... let’s say it was amazing! Gary was so helpful giving us suggestions of places to eat and visit! Laurie prepared another fantastic breakfast our second morning!!! It was a quiche with sausage, spinach & cheeses! Watermelon was served and presented in such a beautiful way with grapes, strawberries & coconut! Also a warm pumpkin muffin was so enjoyed along with hashbrowns! I also loved how Laurie emailed us ahead of time caring about if we had any food allergies.... that was very impressionable ! She also gave us great info to become familiar of things to do in Hermann before we arrived! I’ve forgotten to say how clean the room was and how nice it was decorated! The bed was so comfortable too!!! This is our first trip since COVID and we both felt very safe staying here. I know how much we enjoyed all that this lovely couple did to make our stay so very special! I know you will feel the same when you stay here! Thank you Laurie & Gary!!!!…
Gary and Laurie were friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality was excellent and accommodating our wishes. The breakfasts were incredible. Unfortunately, I do not feel like $260 / night was worth the experience we had this weekend. We came here from st louis to getaway for the weekend. This town is frightening. No one here social distances or wears masks. Octoberfest has brought many people from hot spot areas like st louis and kansas city and the people here don't do anything to be safe. Its a shame. I really wanted to enjoy my time here but did not feel safe anywhere I went. This is not a reflection on the owners per se, however I do feel like every business has a duty to keep themselves and others safe.
