We were so excited to stay at the treehouses but the experience was even better than expected! The treehouse was as lovely as the photos online and the owners were so nice and welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. The price was comparable to other stays in town and the location is perfectly nestled in the trees right on the edge of town. I would 10/10 recommend and I will definitely be visiting again to stay in another lovely treehouse! I might even work up the courage to try out the swing. Maybe.

We loved the Sunrise treehouse. It was a perfect getaway for our 10 year anniversary. We were disappointed that breakfast was not served rather breakfast foods were provided in a mini fridge. The 150 gallon water tank was more than enough for two days for showering, etc. Overall would recommend and would return.

G’morn. We’re glad that you enjoyed your stay in the trees. We, too, are disappointed that breakfast is currently not served in our main building. We’d love to be spoiling you with a hot meal, some good conversation, and a planned itinerary for your day. But Covid restrictions won’t let us. So, homemade yummies in your fridge is a close second place. You’ve got to admit that the oatmeal bake is amazing. 💕

What could be more fun than a treehouse? Compact but comfortable floor plan and bathroom. Loved being completely surrounded by windows on 3 sides. The bedroom loft has glass on all sides. "Sunrise" is spaced for good privacy from other units on property. The water supply is from a cistern, but we had plenty of "hot" water for showering and our other needs. Highly recommend the unique treehouse experience.

Almost everything about our experience was excellent. Very good staff, atmosphere, & amenities. Very accommodating to our needs including flexible check in time, continental breakfast in our fridge, and allowing us to purchase one of their mugs straight from our room. We were confused by the lack of a trash can anywhere but the bathroom & slightly mildewy towels. Still, would definitely recommend for a unique & memorable experience. We'll definitely be back!

P.S. They have an awesome ADA accessible cabin, too! Definitely a place worth spending your money at.

Hi Tory, and thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’m glad you guys enjoyed your time on the property and we look forward to seeing you again in the future. Because of the size of the tree houses, we have one trashcan in the bathroom and larger trash cans down on the ground. I don’t know why you thought the towels smelled, but I promised they were fresh that morning. My own two hands can attest to it. Maybe I’ll buy a different fragrance of dryer sheets next time. Cheers!

This was absolutely the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. So cozy and peaceful. We added the birthday package and our room was so nicely decorated and had the BEST flourless chocolate cake waiting in the room from one of the local places. The scenery was amazing. We had the pleasure of enjoying the wildlife. The view of the stars at night were to die for. We can’t wait to book another trip soon!!

Stayed at the Sunrise treehouse, which was quaint and had tons of natural lighting. The loft bedroom provided a fun throwback to my youth, and the relaxing "nook" was wonderful for reading and kicking back. Breakfast was delicious and accommodating of dietary needs, with personable and professional service. Our host gave us a wonderful breakdown of the points of interest the first night, and they have binders explaining things in greater detail. It's quiet, tucked away behind a hill or (in our case) up above the road, but still minutes from downtown Hermann and the wineries. Was verbally recommended to us by multiple friends and we're telling everyone we know about it. Excellent B&B!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our first anniversary together at the Cabin in the Woods, and it was so relaxing and quaint! The stay was really seamless, with check in and check out being super easy and socially distant/safe. They had so many features (A/C, wifi, coffee maker, etc) to make our stay comfortable. Our favorite was definitely the hot tub with a beautiful woodland view. We absolutely plan to come back!

My husband and I rented the “cabin in the woods” for a belated 14th anniversary weekend getsway. So, so cute. The cabin is the perfect size, has a hot tub, and is about as close to camping as I will ever get. The property is so peaceful. We sat out on the front porch to drink coffee each morning, and you could hear woodpeckers, birds chirping, etc. Nice view of the woods and the night sky from the hot tub too! So easy to see the stars out there, as there is very little light pollution. Due to COVID, a hot breakfast was not served, but we did get some yummy breakfast treats left for us in the mini fridge, which was also stocked with water and juice. The owner was super friendly, and sent very detailed instructions for check in (with videos!) via text message. Oh, and super convenient location to downtown Hermann. Would 100% recommend this place to everyone!

My wife and I stayed at the Sunrise for our 2 year wedding anniversary. We loved every moment we were there. The views were gorgeous. Every window in the treehouse opened up to a beautiful view of the treelines and the deck was a wonderful place to sit and take in the sights and sounds of nature. The interior was intimate and cozy, with all the amenities you could need, like A/C, heat, running water, microwave, coffee maker and internet. The staff was so courteous and helpful when answering any and all questions and concerns we had. With the pandemic, they couldn't serve us food as normal, but they still left us food in our fridge upon our arrival. We will definitely be coming back. We loved our stay in the trees.

My wife and I needed a getaway, and this was absolutely perfect not too far away from our house. The owner contacted us as soon as the Tree House was ready, and we were able to check in early. She went out of here way to make sure the chocolate covered fruit I ordered for my wife was absolutely perfect. The view is beautiful, and I feel it helped lower my blood pressure. The tree house is a great place to sit out on the porch in the evening, and just take a nap if you wanted to. We highly recommend this "to just get away."

Is there a place that would accommodate 4 people in one treehouse?
Answer from Lee P
Hermann16 contributions2 helpful votes
Good morning and thank you for contacting us. Our cabin has one queen bed and two twin beds. It isn’t a treehouse but it is the only structure that has a second-story tree top deck with a private hot tub. Our moonlight Treehouse has one queen size bed and a couch that is the same size as a full-size bed. Does that help?
Answer from Lee P

Hi J, Great question. It definitely is plausible and we've been through a whole winter season with tree house guests. The heaters keep up with 95% of the cold weather days. The other 5% we supply a space heater and extra blankets if needed. Most of the days in December aren't too bad though, and if you're lucky enough to stay on a night that snows, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you wake up in a Winter Wonderland. ;-) Cheers

Hi Red, My sincere apologies for not writing sooner. I just noticed the question. If you still need a place to stay, we have three different structures available (Sunrise, Sunset & Cabin) on the night of October 29th. You can check them out on our website. (I'd include a link but TripAdviser won't let me add here. =( There is a Make Reservations link you can click too if you decide on one of them. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks again for your patience. Cheers
