My wife and I stayed here for one night so we could enjoy an event at Willow Springs. The Payne Jailhouse is easily one of the best places we have ever stayed. The room was perfectly clean. Very comfortable bed, plus there is plenty of room just to hangout in the room if you wanted to. The breakfast was so good! It was very fresh and put together perfectly. The hosts put a lot of effort to make sure you have a great experience. The Jailhouse is convenient to the downtown area and we were lucky enough to have decent enough weather that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We never felt unsafe even as it got late in the night. Go check them out and I promise you will enjoy your stay.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays here, third time recently, HIGHLY RECEOMMENDED!!! Mark and Anna Sue are great hosts and serve an unbelievable breakfast—breakfast burritos, definitely our favorite. Rooms are reasonably priced, clean and comfortable with beautiful décor. Mark has always been there to greet us and is knowledgeable about the history of the area. If there is something specific you are looking for, he can point you in the right direction. Very friendly town with lots to see and do. Everyone is welcoming and refers you to other restaurants and shops. We will be back, thank you Mark and Ann Sue!
We had an excellent time here. The room was very clean and spacious. The owners are very hospitable and we enjoyed our time spent with them on their porch on a rainy evening. The breakfast was really, really good!
Love love loved this place! The owners are super friendly. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious! Will definitely be back here. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed!
We booked all 3 rooms for our family at the Bed and Breakfast for my daughter's wedding Martin Luther King day weekend. The venue was across the street at The Montgomery so we chose this B and B for the convenient location. We had no idea we would have such a wonderful experience. Upon booking Mark, the owner, was very thorough in asking about any special dietary needs and/or allergies. He came right out to greet us the moment we arrived and made us feel welcome immediately. The keyless entry with a code was easy and much appreciated. All three rooms were very clean and of updated stylish decor. The bed in the Caribbean room on the main floor was extra comfortable with a high end mattress, and plush pillows, linens, and towels. The electric fireplace was a nice touch on the cold winter nights during our stay. Both our room and the upstairs common room shared by the two rooms was completely stocked with complimentary soda, water, popcorn, and candy. Each area had a new Keurig coffeemaker with a large selection of coffees, teas, cocoas, and ciders...perfect for our winter getaway. We enjoyed a delicious hot homemade breakfast both mornings. Mark and his wife spent time talking with us and telling us about the area and all the local events throughout the year. They are both very kind people and we enjoyed getting to know them both mornings. This B and B has so much to offer guests from the cozy accommodations to all the personal touches. We do plenty of travelling and stay in condos, hotels, and B and Bs and this is one of the places we've enjoyed the most. In my opinion they could be charging far more money for such a great place. My sister and her family stayed down the street at the local motel amd she was so unhappy with the awful overpriced room she had. Overall our stay was excellent. My only critique is that I wish there were more rooms so the rest of my family could have had the same great experience that we did. I can't recommend this place enough and we plan to go back and stay again in the future for a weekend getaway when we don't have a special event to attend. I would like to return so we can spend more time enjoying the rooms! Thank you again, Mark, for a weekend that exceeded our expectations!…
