Needed a week of quite time and decompression. This was the place!! Relaxed by the fireside each night and the river during the day. Cabin had everything we needed for some great home cooked meals Cabin is filled with any kind of book you could possibly want to read. All 3 kids didn't say "we are bored" all week. :) Tom and Kathy were great host. Our Duchess (dog) loved being able to run around and hang out the whole time as well.

If you miss peace of mind and simple pleasures in your stressful and busy life this is the place for you. I come at least once a year to reconnect to nature and what life is really supposed to be about. The best people in the world are in Dixon, MO. You need to try it at least once. I promise you won't be sorry. You won't miss any modern day conveniences at the cabins that are 1880s living. The owners make sure you have everything you could want. Do yourself a solid and just go!

We decided to go off the grid this Thanksgiving at Rock Eddy Bluff Farm. We had a great time! Although the cabin did not have electricity or running water, we had absolutely everything we needed at Aunt Phoebe's Perch. We spent Thanksgiving Day exploring the woods with our dogs, then we cooked a simple Thanksgiving dinner over the fire and spent the evening marveling at the full Beaver Moon rising over the bluff and listening closely to the sounds of the forest. It was perfect. We left feeling much more connected to nature and to each other. We loved it so much, we booked another cabin at Rocky Eddy Bluff farm for a few days after Christmas.

Love staying at Rock Eddy Bluff Farm! This was our second family trip. We stayed at Turkey Ridge with three of our teenage kids. This is my version of “camping” - full kitchen, bathroom, electricity, and a TV if we wanted. We enjoyed hiking at Clifty Creek in the beautiful fall foliage. The cabins are so quaint and eclectic. They feel homey and comfortable. Meals prepared in the kitchen, on the grill, or over the fire pit make special memories too.

Thank you! It is our happy place also, and that of many animals, domestic and wild.
