I will never stay in a hotel when in Columbia again. The Gatherer Place is 5 Star in my book and will be my place to stay every time I visit! We got stuck in Columbia, MO after a business meeting due to an Ice Storm last weekend. I called 7 hotels! All were booked. We decided to try a...

The Gathering Place exceeded our expectations. We stayed for two nights to attend a sporting event at Mizzou as fans of the visiting team. We had never been to Columbia and were pleasantly surprised to find a warm, welcoming place to stay adjacent to campus. The management was wonderful and greeted us as soon as we arrived. We were given...

We were here for one night. This is a Greek Revival style home located on a main drag right across the street from the U. of Missouri campus (about a 10-15 minute walk from the main campus square, and only a 5 minute drive from downtown Columbia). Be aware that the busy street is divided by a concrete barrier here,...

Gathering Place would be a great B&B, regardless. The fact it is owned by the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources foundation, and staffed by MU students under the direction of a professional innkeeper makes it very special. For anyone traveling to Columbia related to MU, I highly recommend it. Even if you're just passing through,...

This was our second stay at the Gathering Place. Our first stay was in the Wildlife Conservation Suite and the most recent stay was in the Literature Suite. Each stay was comfortable and relaxing. The attention to detail is so impressive and the staff are welcoming, respectful, positive, and thorough. The pride that each staff member takes in creating a...

My wife and I stayed here one night during a trip from Phoenix AZ to Philadelphia, PA. We had read some other positive reviews online and decided to give it a try. This was our first experience with a B&B and the Gathering Place set a very high bar for all B&B's in our future!! From the moment we checked...

This bed and breakfast was a fantastic value and came with a high end breakfast that exceeded our expectations. We were more than impressed! We were able to find serenity in the middle of the Mizzou campus within walking distance to downtown and the trails. The innkeeper was there to make sure our stay was perfect. The living quarters were...

This property is beautiful! We stayed in the "Textiles Room" and let me tell you - I did not want to leave the bathroom! I could have lived there. The beds were gorgeous, the room was cozy and so comfortable. It was quiet, clean and a perfect place to spend the night. Downtown Columbia is a short walk away and...

We can hardly wait for our next stay at Gathering Place. From the warm greeting to the lovely breakfast, our entire stay was cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect as our main purpose for the weekend was riding the Katy Trail and exploring the downtown area. (both are about a mile from the Inn) A+ to the Innkeeper and...

I spent two nights at the Gathering Place while I was interviewing at University of Missouri, and loved my stay. The room was nice and homey, and the B&B had tons of extra little touches - bottled water, coffee, and granola bars available at any time, chocolates left for guests one night. The breakfasts were amazing as well - and...
