As its name reveals, La Casa de la Iglesia (Church House) stands in the very heart of Barrio Santana, the most authentic and traditional part of Mijas Pueblo. El casco historico, or old part of town, is a maze of narrow streets that retain the Moorish feel of typical andalusian towns.

Just what everyone else says really. Small three bedroom guest house with lovely owners vert happy to help with recommendations etc. Very nice but simple breakfast. Spent first night in red Orange room the moved onto upstairs into the Red room (with balconies). The Red room if available is lovely, twice as nice as other two but if not available then still would recommend staying. Excellent VFM. 10 min from everything. Whats not to like or recommend!

This is a quirky little hotel in the back rooms of a typical whitewashed church. It’s in a quiet part of the village. Spotlessly clean, air con, comfortable beds, roomy and bathroom with both shower and a bath with jacuzzi. Fridge, safe, WiFi. He let me stay a bit later in the room which was very kind. I had room 2, at the top of the house, with a lovely view. It was excellent value.

We chose to have a night in Mijas prior to our villa stay in Nerja as the flights were cheaper! The town is beautiful and Casa De La Iglesias is the perfect traditional hotel. We had the larger room at the top, with two balconies. Sunrise was an absolute delight, one of the best I’ve seen, with panoramic views of the sea and the village. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, have some great dinner recommendations. The breakfast included was authentically Spanish, a platter of meats, cheeses, jams, pasties and fruit. The small dining area is beautiful. Highly recommended.

Nothing fancy. Ok for one or two nights. Hosts were nice and were not too bothered with we arriving quite late at night (after 10:30 pm). The double room was clean but small. The double bed in the room is just right size for a couple and small child. There is free road side parking close to the property. As with any other parking, it may be harder to get a free parking space if you arrive late in the evening. 10 mins walk from plaza del toro. Quiet location. Breakfast is very basic with only cold options (Toast, butter, jam, cheese, salami, juice tea/coffee). croissants were nice though. Overall good value for money.

Immaculate, characterful, quirky B & B, spotlessly clean. Great central location, short walk to some very reasonable authentic Spanish restaurants recommended by Juan. Fantastic views from balcony in the Almagra room. Breakfast was excellent, very fresh and lots of it. Great communication from Juan & Concha. Excellent value for money, we would definitely recommend.
