Very comfortable.Great new fish cleaning station.Nice owners. Always clean. I'm always able to rest when I'm here. They've done some upgrades to the rooms. The step in shower was nice. I always get exactly as I expect whenever I stay here
I am giving this place 3 stars out of 5 taking off 2 stars due to highway location and poor customer relations. We used the RV park NOT the cabins. The good— they keep the grounds and pool clean. You are able to use the pool if you are just staying at the RV park. They have sewer, water, and electric along with picnic table/firepit. I believe they have 5-6 spots for RVs and unknown amount of cabins to rent as well. So a plus if you have some family/friend gatherings with some people that do not own campers/RVs. You are 3 miles from roaring river. You will need to drive back and forth there from this site. We usually use state parks to camp at but with the recent closure due to the virus unable to book at the roaring river state park. My mother in law booked this spot as she planned this trip. Honestly, I didn’t check all the rules and regulations beforehand. I will in the future even if I am just staying one night. My first time ever to stay at a RV park. The bad- we camped right next a busy highway. I think if they planted some bushes that would possibly help with that. (We have more of a country setting at our home so this was very disappointing) not much privacy between each camper when they are fully booked. My husband had a pleasant interaction with the folks in charge of the facility. I however did not. Do NOT bring a large dog with you to this RV park. I was scolded like a child for my dog defecating one time. Telling me there was “some complaints about my dog, that I wasn’t picking up after it when it pooped” I responded with a “yes, ma’am... she only pooped 1 time, won’t happen again” I took my dog away from the campsite walking her. I am not obsessed with my dog’s bowel movement schedule. I didn’t bring anything with me to pick it up with at the time. I went later to find it, couldn’t find it. But I am glad my “neighbors” were so caught up on when my dog takes one dump! Lol Bottom line, my dog was not liked because of her breed. I understand that it is the caretaker’s responsibility to make sure the site is picked up after. Maybe, her approach should be reconsidered next time with other customers/ attendants in the future. A friendly reminder to tell me to pick up after my dog would have sufficed.…
Great sites, extra large. Easy access and just a few miles from Roaring Riving. Added bonus is there's an 18 hole golf course right across the street (bring your clubs and your fishing pole). Nice swimming pool, each site is well shaded.. The owners Steve and Cindy are just great people. Looking forward to getting away again for another visit.
Owners were really nice, they kept the cabins clean. The bed was quite hard and uncomfortable, but other than that it was comfortable. Room darkening shades or curtains would be nice for privacy and sleeping in. We will come back, but bring a mattress topper. Price was good as well.
