We went fishing here with some friends and BBQed too! Had a BLAST!! GREAT and VERY easy fishing since it's a hatchery!! :-) BIG Trout too! And they fight too! Really had a great time! And WOW! They scenery is stunning too! Even if you don't want to fish, there is a ton to see and do! The hiking is... More

Missouri treats you right! Went fishing with my daughter and had a blast. We stayed at Roaring River Resort just 1 mile away and it was very nice. Although there were many people fishing, you still had room to cast and feel at ease. It was fun watching the many trout as much as the fisherman old young and old.... More

Inn and conference center is attractive, clean, quiet. The room heater-AC was quiet and worked well cycling around the set temp - something often not available in those units. Shower-tub combo in bath, but no hair dryer so bring your own if you want one. Restaurant workers were efficient and conscientious. Hiking paths, but not from the conference center. It... More

It is very cool to fish in a nice clear stream where you can actually watch the fish go after your bait. Unfortunately we arrived around 11:00 am and the fish were no longer biting. Tons of early morning catches according to the people around us. Take time to go to the hatchery area... not only is it fun to... More

Our family has visited Roaring River State Park for years. My husband and kids like to go trout fishing. Lodging is a little difficult to find since we refuse to stay at Roaring River Resort due to the hatefulness and rude people running the place. We have stayed in town in Cassville and recently decided to try a cabin inside... More

The Hatchery was really neat, the water is crystal cool & absolutely stunning scenery! (Be advised, even in mid July, the water is ice cold! But that didn't stop us from diving in) The park has so much more to offer than we had time to enjoy, we are hoping to return again and stay for a few days, rather... More

We loved the scenery in this area and we had a great time visiting with family while here. They do not have full hookups so no sewer, and you can't remain hooked up to water....you have to use a long hose to fill up your fresh water tank. A bit inconvenient but tolerable. The bathrooms were a long distance from... More

The roaring park itself is very nice, beautiful, peaceful! The Roaring River inn is great! Beautiful view, nice restaurant, good service, spacious rooms, well kept! We spent one day of our spring break at this place and were pleased! It was very quiet! However I imagine it can be a little busier later on spring and summer! They were experiencing... More

I've been going to this place in SW Missouri for years and it is one of the best places in the entire country to go camping and trout fishing. They have three or four camping loops that are all on or near the trout stream, a nice store, and a huge lodge that sits on top of the hill overlooking... More
