Staff was quite helpful with the local attractions, especially the lookout tower (it’s gorgeous, don’t miss it!). It gets cold up on the mountain, so be sure to bring warm clothes. Don’t forget gloves!
The view over Lake Neuchatel was awesome. The hotel provided free tickets to use the bus and funicular which was a few feet from the hotel. Although the hotel did not have an elevator it was easy to get the bags upstairs to our room. Our friends had rooms on the 3rd floor but they were rewarded with a Jacuzzi tub in their room where ours on the 2nd floor had a rooftop deck to take in the scenery
Stayed two nights at the Petit Hotel and we were really lucky as we've been upgraded to a Suite. The room was lovely and nice decorated and we had a very nice view from our terrace. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast is available from 9am - what is rather late - but they will prepare everything for an early breakfast in your room if needed. Everyone was really kind and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay!
The day we had lunch with 7 family members promised a meal with a view to be remembered. The view was most unfortunately obscured the day we were there but regardless, the meal was memorable. The restaurant is very well presented and was so cosy and warm on this cold winters day. The menu is attractive, varied and the food deliciously cooked and ample. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in every respect and can highly recommend this restaurant.
This small hotel and restaurant sits next to the Funiculaire and has amazing views across lake Neuchâtel and the mountains beyond. On arrival we were greeted with warmth and were really pleased with our beautiful well appointed room. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and really enjoyed the food and service. Unfortunately the next morning my wife was sick so all our plans to explore the area together were dashed. She spent 2 days in our room and I had a few hours each day exploring on my own. The Funiculaire is amazing and a great way to travel from Chaumont to La Coudre. From La Coudre there is a very regular efficient tram service into Neuchâtel. Back to the hotel, this has a very popular restaurant and bar which is not surprising. This is a great hotel in a great location and would definitely come back.…
