The spray painted “Registered Guests Only” sign at the main entrance to the hotel looks so tacky and unwelcoming. The beautiful view of Table Rick Lake is as beautiful as ever, but the hotel is more than 25 years old and is looking tired and neglected. The once gleaming green roof line of the hotel tower looks faded when viewed from the highway. After walking around the hotel property we decided to visit the front desk to inquire about rates and availability for an overnight stay. The front desk clerk was not friendly and seemed uninterested and bothered with us. We decided not to overnight here. We expected this hotel property to be nothing less than outstanding.
Main reason we stayed in this resort-price. We had last minute plan for Labor Day weekend, and you couldn't get better price! But when we arrived at resort, we were glad we chose it! From very first second, we felt like we're VIP in this resort. It was Labor Day weekend, so had a lot of stuff to do in resort including firework in evening. Only minus was - elevator. Resort was very busy and elevator also. We didn't mind using stairs but it's kind of complicated where it is.
My wife and I searched Branson, MO for a getaway location during the Labor Day weekend on the internet. Chateau on the Lake was one of the choices. We had never heard of the resort before. The pictures on the website looked wonderful and we decided to make reservations. Upon arrival on Friday afternoon, the breathtaking view of the hotel from the highway and through the entrance were what we had hoped for. The gentleman at the valet were so friendly and the check-in process was very easy. The view from our 10th floor hotel room window overlooked Table Rock Lake and we were able to sit on our balcony drinking coffee and watching the beautiful sunset. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel was very good and our servers were extremely friendly. The fireworks on Sunday night perfectly capped our weekend. The price of the nightly rate is not cheap but comparable to a resort setting. The lack of housekeeping and room service was not surprising as we have found at other hotels operated by Hilton or Marriott. I found our stay to be very nice an pledged to return next year.…
The grounds are expansive. The layout is confusing and parking is confusing and dis jointed. Walking from parking to the entryway does not always have sidewalk or even a pathway. Cigarette butts and trash liter the area. Trees near some of the sidewalks protruded so you need to duck around limbs. The entry looks nice and the staff is very friendly. The food at the cafe is overpriced as compared to the quality and quantity of food. Our steak salad had undercooked meat that was cold. The lettuce wedge included the bitter heart portion. The drinks at the lounge bar area are overpriced. Our room was basic but clean. It is very comparable with Hampton Inn. Our tub was clogged and the towel rack fell off the wall. The facility was very quick to respond, but at this price point I don’t expect to be the maintenance check list person prior to a guest checking in. The elevators are very fast and impressive. The interior is lovely and sophisticated with comfort. Overall we were satisfied, but at this price we have higher expectations.…
The view and the pool are nice. View of the lake is nice if you have a room with it. I paid for a lake view and got a room with a view of a roof. Uggh! Wanted to sit and drink my morning coffee looking at the lake - did'n't happen. Hot day and the AC did not cool the room. Grout in the shower was peeling. No microwave or fridge - you have to pay at least $300 for a fridge that you get at any Super 8??? Carpet, rooms, paint, etc are outdated. Food from hotel catering was dry and chewy. Most people went out to eat or got a pizza after. Conf next door showed up and staff demanded an extra $15,000 for 20 people and a 25% gratuity. GET ALL PRICES IN WRITING!
Be prepared for no daily housekeeping. Can get extra supplies. Very comfy beds. The food was good, bar service for banquet awesome. Victor worked all weekend! Really bad internet service, which is a bummer. We enjoyed our art weekend! The balcony was a nice extra. Watching the boats on the lake was peaceful. All staff were very friendly and helpful!!
My husband and I stayed here for a wedding and the resort left much to be desired. Our King Lakefront Suite was musty and the walls were very thin - we were next to the elevator and could hear all of the guests leaving the bar - not fun after 11 hours of travel. The sheets were wrinkled on the bed and there were holes in the sheets. Shortly after checking in we were sent a text asking how our room was. I let them know our concerns immediately and have not heard anything back. I’ve now tried to reach out to them 3 time via email and phone and again - radio silence. The pool also has limited seats and is not relaxing - people getting hammered and kids screaming the entire time. Pretty terrible service for a 4 star rest.. hoping someone follows up soon. Also, spa is definitely not worth it. My masseuse spoke to me the whole time and did not focus on any of the areas I had requested for the custom massage. Also waiting to hear from them……
Our suite was spectacular which included a fridge with an ice dispenser. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Our king bed was comfortable. The jetted tub was relaxing. Loved sitting on the balcony in the early morning and at sunset. Very clean. Loved the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the citrus fragrance at the entrance. Our room had everything we needed, including an iron and ironing board. Looking forward to returning again.
This is such a lovely place. Beautiful location. Good food. Dated, but still really nice. We adore this place. We are here 8-12 weekends a year as we build our house here. Everyone who works here is amazing. However. You cannot have Door Dash or anyone else bring foods to your room. If the hotel had room service, I might understand. It doesn’t. So in a hotel with no room service, you have to go meet delivery folks in the lobby. Why? Makes zero sense. C’mon, y’all. This is silly.
Visited for three nights while attending a conference. The hotel has not been updated in years. The decor is the same as it was 10 years ago when I would stay while picking up from Kanakuk. My real gripe this trip is no housekeeping. I find this unacceptable. Do not host conferences if you are not staffed to do so. And do not blame it on covid. We have traveled extensively and stayed at hotels throughout the country that are delivering first-rate customer service, including housekeeping. It seems ludicrous that I should have to call and request fresh, clean towels. I changed the toilet paper roll when the tissue ran out. I made the bed each day. I would certainly not chose to stay here, and can only hope our organization looks into better options next year.
