I would like to preface this review with a few facts. #1 new owners took over in early 2020. #2 our room was updated since the pictures on the website. (I believe that most of them have been). I was so pleased with our stay at the Cottages. The cabins were cute. I was told by other guests that they were great accomodations. For our stay, we were in Room 117 of the poolside building. It was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit with ample kitchen and family room space. The room was a great price, very clean and well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with the basic cookware and dishes that you would need for meal prep. I would recommend that you bring your own beach towels for swimming or lake use. Close to the pool was a nice little playground for kids. There were many kids enjoying it during the afternoon hours. They seemed to be having a great time. Our group enjoyed the cornhole and other outdoor games near the pavillion area. Most of our time was spent outside enjoying the resort and pool. It appeared that the resort was nearly full but in the evenings we heard little outside noise. It was a nice, peaceful enviornment. The Cottages Market was well stocked. We were expecting that we would need a trip to walmart for some grocery essentials, but they had everything on our list and we never set foot in a grocery store or walmart. The location is convenient for those going to Silver Dollar City or enjoying some time on the lake. We had a few restaurants within walking distance, and many more within a short drive. The owners are new and were very helpful in finding socially distant options close by and taking care of our needs.

Hey, trip advisor users. This is my review of this property. These are my personal experiences while at this property. Take with you what advice you may. I will only review what personally I experienced in and around this property. If it is not in this review I didn’t experience it. March 22-23 2019 First time traveler to this location. Pictures will be provided with this review. This property is not some luxury resort. It is small quaint cottages that are dated somewhat. Pictures I seen on the inside prior to booking looked as if some updates had been performed. I did like the fact it had a screened in porch. It added a nice touch to the cottage. Upon first entrance I immediately noticed a stagnant smell that seemed like the building had recently been sprayed for pest. The floors in the living and bathrooms room were large tiles. The grout did appear to need cleaning. The bedrooms had laminate hardwood style flooring. The inside of the rooms and living area did not have many decorations on the walls. Amenities like a fridge small apartment stove and microwave are provided. As well as cooking and eating utensils plates bowls and glasses. Towels are provided along with hotel style soaps. Overall for the price we paid per night 89.00 it was basically nothing fancy and probably shouldn’t be expected. Living room score of 4 out of 10 Furniture futon pleather covered and two older chairs one with small bleach stains Large picture window has a curtain that is not big enough and can be seen through on the sides when closed. Small flatscreen tv with cable Window air conditioner (only one for the building) Attic Fan Ceiling Fan Tile floors Kitchen and dining area score 7 out of 10 Small stove Refrigerator and freezer ( works excellent) Older microwave ( possible 90’s ) Plenty of utensils Pots pans provided Cups bowls glasses Trash can Glass top table with seating for 4 Main bathroom score 3 out of 10 Shower is very small adults barely fit Shower head is plastic and is removable Shower curtain too short water sprays out the bottom onto floor and flows under door had to use towels every time to wipe up water. Toilet is tiny Heat lamp in ceiling on timer Exhaust fan in ceiling on timer Toilet paper provided Hand soap provided ( motel style bars) Wash cloths and towels provided Floors are tile Bedroom 1 score. 5 out of ten Dresser with mirror on the wall Walls are wood paneling Floors laminate wood style Electric floor heater with thermostat on the wall ( works very well) Ceiling fan present with light ( double switch plate but couldn’t figure out why one turned fan off completely and other did nothing no light control) There was a door that looked like a closet when opened it was a dummy door had the back of sheet rock showing from adjoining room ( weird) Bed side tables Outlets located under window and behind dresser ( hard to reach need long cords for phone charging) Lamp on bedside table Bed was older mattress ( queen) was not of high quality cheaper style mattress very springy Bed linen clean and new Pillows soft and Comfy Master bedroom score 4 out of 10 King size bed that rolls easily around when sitting down. Mattress was cheap and not high quality very springy appeared newer, box springs old and stained. Headboard covered in cloth and attached to the wall. Pillows comfy and soft Linens clean and newer Floor heater with thermostat on wall ( works well) Laminate flooring wood style Dresser with mirror and sitting chair Ceiling fan No dummy door Master bath score 5 out of ten Larger size than main bath Shower tub combo ( much more room) Nice modern vessel style sink faucet and hardware Vanity wood open underneath plumbing exposed Toilet normal size Toilet paper provided Hand soap provided ( motel bar style) Tile floors ( some pop when walked on) Hair dryer present Trash can Porch area 10 out of 10 Nice seating area table with chairs Two additional chairs Screened in Ash tray provided Over all score of a 5 out of 10 This is a good place if your not looking for luxury’s. There is a outdoor pool on property and play ground. We did not use these and cannot review them. Property was well maintained and nice. Lake is very very close. Boat launch just seconds away! Owners live on property. Only had one interaction. And that was turning in keys on check out. This is family owned I believe. Older buildings that some updates have been preformed. They could make this property a very luxurious modern place with just a few things done. Other than that if your looking for nostalgia or a quaint place this may be for you. I’ve stayed at many property’s in the Branson area. I have paid 89 bucks plus cleaning fee of 75 st a much nicer condo. No cleaning fee here. There are positives and negatives to this property. It depends on what your looking for. Very close to silver dollar city. You will Notice a lot of older resorts in the Indian point area. A lot need updating just like this one. I’ve stayed at others and have pretty much the same reviews. I wish these property owners would spend money and update. This could be a great area and they could charge more as well. A lot of people stay on these type property’s, I’ve never found any of them to be out right nasty or unsanitary! I would recommend this place if you are looking for something more country living or like I said above nostalgic or quaint. Please check out my photos I took of this property. This is unit 104.

My parents stayed in one of the motel rooms Thanksgiving week 2018. They will NEVER stay here again. They have told all of the family to AVOID at all costs. Upon arrival, their room key was bent...it was a sign and they didn't know it. The bed was so uncomfortable; buttons on the mattress poked them all night...how old is a mystery. Wallpaper peeling in the bathroom. Cheap thin paneling from a trailer in the 1960's everywhere. Mystery stains on the mattress and bedspread. On the 3rd night, no water at all in the entire motel. No note to inform guests, no complimentary water for guests, no apology, no refund, nothing! So bad my mom made a video thinking no one would believe her. This place needs a rebuild, at least a MAJOR renovation. You've been warned.

Came to see the Christmas lights and catch some shows with my grandparents. The cottage was basic but met our needs. Not super comfy furniture for 80 yr olds (low sofa that folded down into a bed). Kitchen had the basic necessities (coffee pot, a few dishes, utensils, etc). It was very quiet when we were there. I think we may have been the only guests the first night. We were in a cottage that faced the lake which was nice to see when we were having coffee. We would go back.
