We booked a 2 bedroom unit. It is a lovely place. It has everything you would need for a great vacation. Golf, swimming pools, large game room with tons of games. 2 movie theaters and much more. The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped kitchens make eating in easy. The bedrooms are very comfortable and each bedroom has its own bathroom. Highly recommend.

Arrived late, it was dark, but the desk person directed us to our unit with no problem...of course there was the timeshare pressure, but we already own 3 weeks, so I said no at the desk and please don't call me as the rest of the family are late risers...that was sufficient, as they left us alone

We traveled to Branson from pa & had a great time. Had a issue with the air conditioning & had to replace the hot water tank but in both cases maintenance was there within a short amt of time & had both issues fixed quickly. We only used the pools a couple of times as there was so much to do in Branson but did look @ the itinerary for the resort & had a lot of activities. Would definitely go back.

Review collected in partnership with RCI
We booked a 3 bedrooom villa but got here and only 2 bedroom was available and no one could do anything about it which left a member of the family sleeping on the floor. No money was refunded or anything. Then, realized that all activities available like pool, pool tables, volleyball, basketball and tennis weren’t even walking distance which really dissapointed the kids. YOu had to drive so we didn’t even go to the pool or activity center. HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!! Then, we spent $360 on groceries to save on eating out only to be faced with a stove that doesn’t even work. Will never be back and honestly will never consider another Holiday Inn property.

We're so sorry to hear of your frustrating stay at Holiday Hills Resort. This is certainly not the way we want our guests to experience our resort. We sent you a private message and would appreciate having the opportunity to reach out to you about what happened. Thank you for sharing your comments.

Upon arrival after a 6+ hour drive the first thing they do is try to sell you on "going to a meeting" where they will use high pressure sales tactics to wear you down with the hope that you will eventually give up and sign your life away. The further you drive into the property (and from view of the road) the older and more run down the buildings get. Despite being owners (unfortunately) we were given and outdated unit in a building that clearly hadn't been renovated in quite some time. The furniture was outdated and worn, the general look and feel inside the unit was very 90's. That being said, the appliances and fixtures worked, for the most part. If you are looking for an extremely expensive, yet subpar / average place for your family to stay, this location will get the job done. It is your average touristy / hotel experience. The unit was relatively clean, and averagely maintained and was sufficient to meet minimum needs and expectations for our family. On first glance the unit was satisfactory, however as we took a closer look we noticed quite a lot of areas with potential for improvement. I will list them below. 1. The floors beneath the couches and end tables had clearly not been cleaned in quite a while as evidenced by the layer of dust visible on the surface. 2. The shower heads are WAY too low for even a short person to use comfortably, let alone someone of average or above average height. Add to that the fact the one of the shower heads in out unit would not hold itself up without our jerry-rigging a holder out of a shampoo bottle and this leads to literally having to bend over backwards to take a shower. 3. The tiles in both bathrooms on the floor were loose, so loose in fact that simply walking across the floor led to audible sounds akin to walking on loose slate in nature. Given there were so many loose tiles, and they were so obviously loose we were very concerned about water / mold issues. 4. The faux fireplace in the living room was inoperable. 5. There was no dish soap provided in either the main, or smaller adjoining unit. (Although staff were kind enough to bring some to our room along with laundry soap and more trash bags, we are waiting to see if these items show up on our credit card) 6. The coffee maker in the main unit was inoperable, the one in the adjoining unit had an obviously incorrectly sized pot which someone had jammed into the machine and was thus worthless. (Again, the staff brought a brand new coffee maker for us) 7. The outside trash bins (which you have to walk past every time you come and go from the building - which is convenient for disposal, but not so sightly or pleasant to smell) were frequently neglected to the point people were stacking trash next to them on the ground. 8. There was a very bright flood light mounted just outside the large bedroom window of the adjoining unit which at night would flood the bedroom with light despite the wooden blinds being completely closed. 9. There was a wasp nest in the light fixture above the porch / balcony area. 10 The site does have a seemingly large number of outdoor pool areas, most of which are equipped with grills and large seating areas. However, the staff seemed extremely slow to reopen the pools after storms passed through. They said they keep them closed until 30 minutes after the most recent lightening strike in a 6 mile radius. However the same staff could not provide information as to when the last strike was, or how much time was left in this period on more than one occasion. Seemingly, they simply reopen the pool whenever they feel like it. The pools seem to be relatively well maintained and the areas surrounding them are mostly clean. However, despite the pool rules clearly stating that users are required to take a shower prior to entering, they are no showers provided. There are also no restrooms provided which means if your family is in the pool area for any length of time you will have to pile into your vehicle soaking wet to travel back to your unit, or to the nearest laundry facility which has a bathroom, although also has the A/C cranked. One pool was down for maintenance for at least 1 solid day, possibly 2, which led us to another pool, which had a clearly broken lift chair (assistive device for persons unable to otherwise safely enter the pool) this was left in the fully lowered position, and would not raise for over a day, then was physically removed (the entire unit was dismounted and discarded beside the pump house) leaving a metal bracket and bolts protruding from the surface beside the pool. No effort was made to cover or alert anyone to the presence of this hazard. Unsupervised children were frequently seen running very near this danger. Overall, the location is average, as I said before it could be improved upon in many ways. The staff is (mostly) very friendly and helpful when they aren't trying to sell you something, and believe me they will repeatedly try to do so. One staff member even called my wife's phone early the following morning after we arrived late the previous evening and attempted to sell her after she very clearly, and repeatedly (as was necessary due to the desk staff refusing to allow her to leave upon check in and continuing to talk at her - she finally just had to walk away) told them she was NOT interested.
