My wife and I went to a timeshare presentation with Wyndham and they put us up for three days and nights in the hotel grand Victorian in Branson Missouri. We actually stayed two additional nights so we could attend the youth competition for bluegrass bands at Silverdollar city on Saturday of memorial day weekend, so we spent a total of five nights in the Victorian. I checked the reviews of this hotel shortly after getting confirmation that this would be the place we would be staying and discovered they were generally mid range at around three stars. So I wasn’t expecting anything particularly great and was therefore pleasantly surprised at the general quality and condition of the hotel and the room that we were in. I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to cleanliness and the first thing I generally look at is the condition of the carpet in the common areas before I even get to the room. Many times you’ll find these areas aren’t kept as clean or vacuumed as often as They should be. Such as not the case with the Victorian as the hallway carpets were immaculately clean. That cleanliness extended to our room on the fifth floor. We had a room that faced the main street that included amenities like a mini fridge and microwave and also had a balcony with a couple chairs. All the furniture and bedding were in excellent condition and I was looking for something to nitpick but really couldn’t find anything. I suppose the only thing might be the fact that housekeeping is no longer provided except upon request, but that is just about the case everywhere nowadays. One nice thing that was included with the room was a pretty decent morning hot breakfast buffet that was well-maintained by a couple of local older fellows which was a good thing considering the number of folks partaking of breakfast every day. It could’ve easily been picked over and left relatively unappealing had these two fellas not kept up with cleaning tables and restocking the food items which included things like eggs and sausage fruits and just about anything else that you typically would find on a breakfast buffet at any mid to upscale hotel I’m not sure when my wife and I will be returning to Branson, but when we do we more than likely will be staying at the hotel grand Victorian.…
We just arrived, but if the rest of the staff is as great as Don (plus the other gentleman who's name I didn't catch), this will be a great visit. Rooms are spacious and clean. Looking forward to the rest of our stay!!
This place may have nice years ago, but not now. Run down, we had no water pressure in the shower day 1, day 2 no water at all!! We couldn't even flush the toilet! When we called it was our last night so they weren't fixing anything. Advertisements said close walk to everything but was off a main county rd and no sidewalk!!
thanks for the good memories it was a nice place to stay beds good water pressure good clean room good pool good staff good right in middle of everything good food everything was good I would stay if we ever make back to Branson
I was hesitant to book this hotel because I wasn't really impressed looking at he pictures but it got good reviews from tripadvisor so I went for it. First, the place looks so grand from the outside and it's located perfectly along the trip. The entrance is ok and they got it decorated beautifully for Christmas. The problem I have is when we stepped in our room. Mind you, our family travels a lot in the US and internationally, so we have had a lot of experience when it comes to hotels. This one I'm not happy about. The room is very small (for a double queen). And not just the room, the bathroom is so tiny that you can barely close the door when you're seating on the potty! And to top it all, my husband spent hours to get rid of a fly that he saw in the bathroom! yuck! That's the first! finding a fly in the bathroom. tsk! Anyway, it wasn't the worst hotel but it is definitely up there. On a side note, the people who work there are nice, can't complain about that. And also, they offer grab and go breakfast, and my only complaint is that I wish they provide trays for the drinks and maybe bags to put the foods in. It is hard to carry everything with your hands when you're carrying 2 or 3 cups of drinks plus the plate of food to bring to your room. I hope the management will take notes.…
I stayed here with a tour group so I didn't have any say in the room we got. We had a king suite and it was awesome! It was clean and the bed comfortable. I do have to say though that the bed was really high. We had steps on one side of the bed and wish there had been steps on the other side as well. We didn't need a hot tub but it came in handy for storing our cooler and cases of water! You can't beat the location! Wal-Mart, Price Chopper and many eating places were in walking distance.
Honestly, I don’t feel like this hotel deserves the name grand. I was so disappointed. The room was okay and bed was comfortable but way way over priced . $153 + tax I was expecting more. There was a fake fireplace that had a glow bulb in it, not even a flickering fake fire. It was nice having a couch though. The breakfast that was included I thought would be a bonus, but you couldn’t sit in the breakfast area which I realize several places are doing this, but water gravy with a couple crumbles of sausage wasn’t worth what we paid considering less inexpensive hotels has a much bigger, tastier & better variety. I may be a little too harsh but the outside is so beautiful and the small lobby was decorated for Christmas, I was just expecting more. My expectations are probably too high because where we usually stay is very “grand” but thought we would try something different but comparable and price was about the same.…
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and absolutely loved everything about it! It's located in a perfect place right on Highway 76 and is an up-to-date, immaculate hotel. The only drawback might be for bus tours to get into the hotel and find a place to park since it's on a hill. There have both indoor and outdoor pools, which my grandchildren enjoyed. The breakfast was very tasty and had plenty to choose from. We never had anything bad to say about any of the staff, they were very helpful and pleasant at check-in and check-out. The best part was that once I got home (5 hours away), I realized I had forgotten a small suitcase in my room. Not a problem at all with them, they mailed it to me! We will definitely stay at the Hotel Grand Victorian from now on when we are in Branson! I suggest you do too!…
This is a great value. Super clean, comfortable beds and on top of that you get fresh baked cookies every day. This hotel has a great location to all of theaters in town, outlet malls and tons of great restaurants and bars. Great for family’s, couples
The location is great! You can walk to many restaurants and shopping. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool along with a game room. Due to COVID your breakfast has to be brought back to your room. The hotel is also pet friendly. The first room we were put in had hair and dirt on the floor. With a toddler this wasn’t good but they changed our room. Both rooms were rooms for pets. The other room was cleaner and both had a little balcony with two chairs. The hallway didn’t appear to be vacuumed often. Location and price is tge best part of the hotel.
