We only had a one night stay here but I would highly recommend it! This hotel has managed to maintain some of the historic features while updating others for guests comfort. We stayed in room 18 and it was one of the smaller ones but worked great for my husband, son and I. The restaurant, The Fred, offered a wonderful... More

location right on river and enjoyed the vintage wood floors and tile bathrooms. Had a short stay (less than 8 hours -arrived late left early) but room comfortable and had an assortment at breakfast of dry cereals, toasts and fruit. Stayed on 3rd floor - elevator available or stairs. Staff friendly and would definitely stay again. There is no coffee... More

This is a 100+ year old hotel, so we were not expecting modern everything. But for over $100 a night it was lacking. The tv in our first room faded in/out. The clerk moved us to a second room and it was fine. AC put out plenty of cool air but it is noisy. Breakfast is just ok. We enjoy... More

We just returned from a reunion planned at The Frederick Hotel. We had an awesome experience from planning the event to the complusion. We had 100 classmates in attendance. The staff was so Accomodating. The food was excellent. The bar had draft special and offered signature drink for our event. Not only was the good excellent, their prices per plate... More

Great hotel lovingly restored to its former glory. During our road tour it was a refreshing change from the standard chain hotel. Our room was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The location, next to the Missouri and at the heart of the town, is convenient for all local facilities.

We only stopped for lunch and wish that we could have stayed for a night, as the hotel looked really great and was like going back in time. With 4 million spent on renovations that where period correct, it really was neat to see and the lunch we had was wonderful. We arrived a few minutes after they closed for... More

This is such a neat old hotel. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. The room was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable bed. They provide a nice continental breakfast. Would stay here again for certain. We didn't eat in the restaurant but went to their lounge. The bartender was nice and made wonderful specialty cocktails. Hotel Frederick is... More

We have stayed at the Frederick several times while passing through with the Katy Trail Ride put on by MO Parks/DNR. I like the authentic look that the hotel has maintained while still making upgrades. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. The only problem(s) we had were the television signal going out and the AC not working very... More

Stay at the Frederick for the historic building, the pleasant staff, the quiet rooms, but know that it is more of a bed & breakfast than a full-service hotel. Breakfast, for instance, is not served in the attached restaurant, but as an assortment of pastries and cereals in an ante-room in the hotel. Every room is slightly different, and the... More
