We stayed in the room with a private entrance and it was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable. The claw foot tub was neat but a little difficult to get out of. Chef Tracy fixed us a wonderful breakfast

My Husband and myself have been several times to both dine and stay in the amazing rooms. Chef Tracy is warm and inviting every single time. He is always excited to share stories about the history of the building and of the town. He is someone I could spend hours talking to and never get bored, always makes us feel...

A group of close friends took in a trip the Iron Horse for dinner before our show at the Lyceum Theater. We made our reservations in advance as we had a large group and wanted to make sure the Chef and staff would be prepared for our group in addition to other patrons that evening. We knew that it would...

I love history and finding this gem was a treat. I stopped at the inn for an iced tea and enjoyed the beauty and history of the building with some of its original architecture, including a gorgeous copper coated tin ceiling. The chef/owner came out and told me a little history which I enjoyed. I also walked around the small...

Visiting the area, wanted to dine at the restaurant. Made a point of going to the restaurant the day before to see the menu and inquire about hours. I talked with the Chef and Manager at that time. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF RESERVATIONS. I returned the next evening, aT 5:45 pm and was told that they were full and...

Thank you so much for your review, it is the best way for me to improve my guests experiences. Please accept my apologies for not being able to seat your right away on Saturday evening. When I spoke with you on Friday, and you asked what time we began serving, I assumed you were inquiring about that night, and since...

I wouldn’t change a thing about my stay at the Iron Horse! Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, and the setting is lovely. The guest room was comfortable and neatly decorated. I enjoyed the claw foot bathtub and homemade soap shaped like a little train that came from the shop next door. Tracey serves a wonderful breakfast in the morning....

We stayed at the Iron Horse Hotel for our one year anniversary. I don't know if we could have been more pleased! Tracy is a wonderful proprietor and his delicious breakfasts kept us full throughout the day. We stayed in the trans-siberian room, which allowed private access to the patio as well as a door through the main floor of...

We found this to be a perfect place! The facility is large as was our room. The amenities were nice and time-period appropriate. The trains were charming and we never heard them in the night, but that may have been because the bed was so comfortable and the room temperature perfect through the night. We only ate breakfast in the...

Just returned from a three night stay at the very historic Iron Horse Hotel in Blackwater, MO. Everything about this hotel is wonderful. They have a wonderful restaurant which serves the best appetizers, entrees and desserts. Our breakfast included a large fluffy bisquit, home-made yogurt with fruit, perfectly cooked eggs, sausages, and hash browns. Each room in the hotel is...

I was frankly worried as this hotel sits right at a railroad crossing - think train horn and clackity-clack - and our room was on the side right next to the train tracks, We were provided earplugs and they worked great - only briefly woke as the first train rumbled past, but quickly went back to sleep and must have...
