Cedar House is an ideal location for exploring the Quantocks, Dunster/Dunster Castle and local coast line. Beautiful location very clean and a good breakfast to set you up for the day. The area is also suitable for cycling and I believe there are some off road areas but you would need to check. Local pubs and cafes are excellant for...

Stayed for one night at the The Cedars and very much enjoyed our stay. We were given tea in our room on our arrival, the room was spotless and we were given a lift to the local pub for dinner. Hope to come back soon.

This is a relatively new venture for Eric and Kay, but our experience was absolutely first class. The hotel is spotlessly clean with a high standard of decor, fabulous views comfy beds and excellent breakfasts (well done Eric). It was clear from the welcome pot of tea on arrival that Kay and Eric were determined that our every need was...

I had a warm welcome from the friendly new hosts of this cosy bed and breakfast. The food was delicious and the setting is in a tiny village in the middle of Somerset countryside. I loved it and felt at home immediately

We come here every year at some stage for a break and it has always been a good experience - glad to see that Eric & Kay are keeping up the tradition in style. Spotlessly clean, good views, good food, a good nights sleep - all that one needs for a relaxing stay. One minor niggle - the option for...

We stayed in the Cedar House for two nights. The views from the windows are stunning and you can see the old steam railway. We were made to feel very welcome and the room had king size bed. The breakfast was good and it would be very hard to find fault with this property. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cedar House is a fine Edwardian gentleman's residence set in it's own grounds. The house has some of the most stunning, uninterrupted views in the area - overlooking Exmoor, the Brendon Hills, the Coast and Wales beyond. The steam engines of the West Somerset Railway passing by, the starry nights and some wonderful sunsets all add to the magical setting. It is the ideal base for exploring the area, Dunster Castle, the quaint villages and wonderful village pubs. After a peaceful night's sleep, get the day off to a great start with a full Somerset breakfast or something else from the extensive breakfast menu. Kay and Eric look forward to welcoming you to their home. ... more   less
