I have stayed here many times. The room was clean but shower didn't have hot water. Called 5 times and still not fixed. They kept coming when I was their or went to wrong room. I did wait two times and know one. The next day we changed rooms and had hot water but room wasn't as clean as it should be. I have stayed here many times and everything before has been good. I don't get them saying hot water was good. I do think they went to wrong room or someone shouldn't be the person fixing things

Always enjoy or time at casinos! Been going for 15 years. Always on our birthdays March 13&14. July 4, and xmas or New Years. But had to quarantine untill now. Waiting for 2nd vaccine and be on our way!! But haven’t received any monthly offers for the first time in years!! I hope we haven’t been cut off, we have been looking forward to some fun after this long boring year. Love the rooms, Phillip Ms, crab Buffett and bistro breakfast!! Dreaming of slots!!

Silver Star hotel was in real desperate need to be updated and upgraded...I try to always avoid this hotel and stay at the Golden Moon across the street...but I stayed in Silver Star new room and although not 5 star quality, so much better than before...I was very pleased and happy with the new rooms.

Everything new in room plus remodeled bathroom...still not Vegas quality but do not have any problem staying here again.

The Silver Star casino still needs a major over haul, but signs of this starting... A lot of slots taken out and moved to the Gold Moon...Was really pleased to see Golden Moon not only open back up but to be better than before...less slots and tables, but more room and nicely remodeled...

friday, march 20th, 2015...about 2:30 am, fire alarm blaring evacuate premises, not knowing if there really was a fire, we are proceeding to leave when a security guard says it was a false alarm...well, about 3:30 am, alarm resounds, still not sure if there is a fire, we proceed to evacuate again...4:30 am , how do we know if we are burning up??? and again 5:45,am then 7:02 am...meanwhile i am trying to ascertain if there actually is a fire or not, calling the desk and getting a false alarm, it's okay, stay in your room...i go to the front desk while heading to breakfast and ask the attendant if there will be some sort of compensation for the disruptions all night long, i got an answer of , "No, it is what it is, nothing of the sort"...that was the wrong answer, yet not being able to refuse payment because my card information was registered already, i had to eat the inconvenience...after a week , i decided to call the hotel because it was "eating at me"...i spoke to the desk manager and explained the incident, saying that since they were unwilling to compensate for the disruption i would probably not return there...she did not even say "I am sorry for the inconvenience" , that is pretty d**n petty for a "Resort" to have such an arrogant attitude...so if any one reads this review, make sure that you can find a hotel that is people friendly and caters to your needs, not to the
disrespectful self-centered individuals that operate and manage a facility that says they are a "Resort to please"...

Went to front desk on wednesday to see about getting a room for 2 nights Wednesday night and Thursday ni. She told me that my players card room comp was only good for 2 nights Monday - thursday. And I couldn't get the Thursday night. I said OK tonight then. Got my rm. And called down to front asked mon. - thur. Is good for Thursday night also right? She said I don't know let me get you reservations. Waited on the line and a very very rude lady told me that I could have a room Thursday night also but now couldn't get two nights because the lady had already booked me one night in rm 5069. She finally agreed to take off what the front desk had done and make me reservations for the two nights. But I would have to swap rooms. So I tracked back downstairs went to the hotel check-in she took my keys, reprogram them, and told me I could keep the same room for two nights rm 5069. We brought a lot of groceries to the room over $55 worth and went to casino play for a while then took my mom home. My wife and I came back to our room later that evening to find our room was occupied and our stuff gone, our and groceries gone. So far we got nothing back. Went back to the front desk. Was told I never made reservations and they nere to my credit card number. I ask well how did i get into my room to find it occupied. If i wasnt given the room. And my stuff was in there. I Was told they did not have any of my stuff. And was told that she was going to call security and have me exited. So I went home and now I'm writing this review. I'm not through I want answers. We were so highly disrespected. They have rooms available. But didn't care. I was very nice I said please and thank you but i sure didn't get any repect from her or the other lady on the phone. When I got home I call prr operator Leslie. She asked me how can I direct your call I asked her for Guest Services Department she said she didn't know what I was talking about and blatantly hung up the phone. I called her back being operator she answered I got her name again and ask her why she hung up on me. She said in a rude tone who are you wanting to call. I told her a Guest Services representative. She sent me to players services and i talk to someone else that wouldn't help me. I'll try again tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day and the next day. Because this was some bull s!##/^^^&&&&. Yes some bull s $#//&&*. Not to mention they lost my credit card number no telling who's got it, and what Chargers are going to come up. I can't believe Pearl River Resort would have those types of attitudes to represent them. Ugggggg

This has got to be the smelliest room that we've received to date while staying at Silver Star. I am constantly being disappointed by the cleanliness of the rooms. The walls are paper thin and it can be very noisy. The rooms have a table and one chair which means the other person has to stand up to eat at the table. The wall paper is peeling and the carpet is nasty. We've come here a lot in the past and I've just about written this place off my list. The last time I came here there was a roach crawling on the wall in the restaurant. When I told the cashier, she acted like I did something wrong by telling her. Really? Another time we came here, another guest left their TV on in their room all night and left it on loud as they could. Security came out but nothing was done about it. On other occasions, the employees have not been friendly and can sometime be downright rude. I hope someone else has a better experience than I have.

I went there with my parents and brother over the Christmas Break. I was disappointed on all fronts. The front desk was not friendly at all and would not allow us to check in until right at 4 o'clock, even though the hotel and casino were dead. I had called the morning of arrival and asked about the indoor heated pool and they confirmed that they had one. I was excited and packed my suit. I asked the front desk at check in as well and the again said yes and informed me that there were towels there.... I though YAY!! Got to the room and suited up and walked from one hotel to the next which was quite a trek, well guess what?!? The pool was closed!!! SUPER!! At least I got my exercise in for that day. We decided to get ready and go hit the tables. They were deader Griswold Cat. Then we decided to go stuff our faces with a buffet. WRONG CALL.... it was terrible and bland and all tasted the same. The desserts were frozen and thawed out. Waste of time and money. All the peeps at the slot machines informed me that the hotel had gone down hill for about five years now and nobody is hitting pots on the machines. So overall, had fun with my family but the casino and hotel were a total bust!!

After seeing mixed reviews we decided to come for an overnight getaway. We had visited years ago and had a lot of fun. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. We appreciated a couch to sit on while watching TV. The walls are thin. You can hear people in the next room coughing and talking. No real privacy. Food is essentially non existent. There are few restaurants on site, but no where near enough to accommodate the amount of people here. One even required reservations.. We had to get in our car to drive to town for dinner. There is a fast food type counter in the casino, but if you need healthy food forget it. No stands with yogurt, fruit.. Nothing like this. Drinks are free in the casino, including coffee and soda, but the waitresses expect a tip. That's fine if you have cash on hand. No fridge in room, but there is an ice bucket. We spent about six hours in the casino on slot machines. We saw three people win some money. No one was excited. Even people in the elevator were complaining about losing money. The room cost $277 for one night. We had a budget and lost $300. There were not any winning lights flashing all night. This was a Saturday night, too. It was very busy. Only about three times were we able to truly enjoy a machine. By this, I mean playing a twenty dollar bill for more than three plays. Typically, as soon as we would put some money in and press the button three times, the twenty was gone. This was a cycle over and over. To try to increase our fun we would just go to another machine. Had we sat on one machine we would have been done in an hour. It's very clear that they are here to get your money - not give you any. We also walked by the tables several times-no action there either. Had this been my first visit to a casino I would have been greatly disappointed. Just do yourself a favor and go to another casino. We drove five hours and had to leave to eat and win nothing. Not even $10. Just pathetic. As much as they charge for their rooms these odds are ridiculous. We signed up to get cards and rewards, etc.. Yeah those cards went straight in the trash. Won't be back.

This place felt unsafe. Overpriced. There are only two casinos in this area that are attached with a walk way. Parking lots were not well lit and neither were entrances. The Buffet restaurant was over priced. The food was good but the service was horrible. Workers through out the facility are unhelpful and not at all friendly or professional looking. The weekend crowd was sketchy. The bathrooms were nice but not clean. There was a safe dispenser where needles could be disposed of properly and it was full. WOW. Our crew choose Tunica or Biloxi from now on. We love both of those places but decided to pick something a little closer this time. The hotel was so over priced we decided just to drink coffee and drive back home. 3 hour drive.
