Didn’t really have our expectations set very high due to the nightly rate of $65. Therefore, no huge surprises. However, we were very glad that we just happened to bring a hair dryer with us. The room didn’t come with a hair dryer. We were also lucky that we had some shampoo from another hotel in our suitcase. The room didn’t come with shampoo either. The room was clean, but furnishings were VERY economical. There was an unusual odor which was probably due to an the age of those furnishings. With all that being said, when we come back to Ocean Springs, if there are no other motels available on the coast, we will stay here again.

This is not my first review of this property. This trip was a 360 of my first review. I stay at this property each time I visited Ocean Springs, Ms. I was not pleased with the service that my mother and I recieved. I tried to check in on Friday night I was told my the clerk that I did not have a reservation at this location. I told her again my last name even spelling my name for her. Again she tells me there in nothing in my name. I tell Vanessa my mother name she then calls me by my first name and my last name but says see does not have a room in my name or my mother's name. I asked for a manager she said that I could call Studio which she gave me the number. I asked her for a room she said that the hotel was full . Started talking to a man behind me trying to get a room. She gave him a room (she told me there was not anymore rooms) I phoned Studio 6 told the agent my problem she said yes you do have a room I see it on my screen. The agent transferred me to another agent to make sure things was correct. While on the phone with the agent I went back into the office. I told Vanessa what the agent said in a very nasty tone Vanessa says to me I looked at listed your names are not on the list! The agent told me to tell her to look for the room in my mother's name. This time it was on that same list. By this time my mother is back sitting in the car. Vanessa wanted me to get my mother (77+) out of the car just to give her my mother ID card! I AM PAYING FOR THE ROOM! I MADE THE RESERVATIONS! ITS HOT ITS MISSISSIPPI! THIS IS FOR REALLY .. The whole time I am still on the phone with the agent. Vanessa says you have to tell R... she has. I stopped her I told her my mother first name is MISS to you. She was very nasty very. I will post photos of the room we was given. I will stay here again Vanessa is not the hotel. I hope things change before my next visit.

Good overnight stay for the price. Helpful staff, comfortable room, very clean & nice amenities like a small stovetop,microwave & fridge. It's a quick drive over to the casinos & there are plenty of stores & restaurants nearby as well.

First off, this hotel is home to lower income people who pool their $$ to pay the weekly rate- I booked for a 10 day stay- due to a family medical emergency with both of my elderly parents having been admitted to 2 separate hospitals. We arrived after 8 pm after traveling over 24 hours- so very tired. I had asked for a quiet out of the way room. The room given was the 1st room right next to the office- NOT a quiet out of the way room. I was told that "requests are considered, but not guaranteed"- I then requested to be moved to another room as one became available- I was told, it was summer and they were fully booked- Last I checked, people check in and out of hotels every day- When entering the room, we were hit with a stench- kind of a mix between stale cigarette smoke and mildew- too tired to care- the towels are like sand paper- they don't provide toiletries, no hair dryer. The bath room was dusty with built up dust in the corners and along the top of the shower. The shower proudly displayed an African American pubic hair- gross- the beds are hard, the pillows offer no support, and the sheets could not be any thinner. While I understand this is a Motel 6, but seriously, no shampoo/conditioner? And a rusty iron- on the 5th day of our stay, we were VERY RUDELY awakened by a very hard pounding on our door and a man shouting that our room was supposed to be vacant. I answered the door and the man very rudely said I was not supposed to be in the room and that I needed to vacate it immediately- I said I had trouble with my key the night before, but the room was mine for another few days- he said "our records state this room should be vacant- guess you need to go to the front desk and get it worked out, otherwise you need to leave. I called and the lady said she realized what happened and apologized for the inconvenience. I told her about how rude the manager was when he banged on our door, and she apologized, and I said it was HE who should apologize- never heard a peep from him. I understand Motel 6 caters to a budget conscious client, but there is no reason for being rude and not supplying basic toiletries. Lesson learned, I know I'm not a budget motel kind of girl. I only stayed here because it was the only hotel available with a kitchenette. I have health issues, which requires me to be able to cook my own food on occasion. Also, don't pay the extra $$ for Wi-Fi- it's pretty much non existent, we were never able to get a decent signal and when I inquired about it, the front desk simply stated that it was "very spotty"- I will get a Condo next visit.

My third time staying n this time was AWFUL but Kenneth was AWSOME love him But the first room he gave us the bed was broke the second room the bathroom door wouldn’t close I love this this hotel but this time was AWFUL the manager was suppose to call we never heard from anybody now I will be questioning my stay again 😫😫😫
