The good Historic location, great parking, friendly reception & spacious rooms. The bad Sticky walls, sticky buttons, sticky door handles & smelly carpets. If the roof terrace isn’t open, it really isn’t open. But, Bob Seger stayed here once, so how bad can it be?

This hotel really meets up to what is says on their website. The rooms were really great with very comfortable beds and lovely bedding. Really nicely decorated. We had lunch at the hotel and it was reasonably priced with a good choice on the menu. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend as top notch service.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at Old Capitol Inn. Given that the last time was over 2 years ago and that my rating was exceptional, I wondered if it had changed. Bottom line...it hadn't. Same awesome/friendly staff. Same beautiful building/rooms. Same incredible free breakfast. Same great location. Old Capitol Inn was great 2 years ago. It's still great today. Yeah, there are some new giant hotels in downtown Jackson. I'm sure they're great. But if you are looking for a comfortable, down-home, southern hospitality type experience, don't even consider anything other than Old Capitol Inn. Thanks again for a great couple of days!

My room was on the small side. BUT that was because I chose the cheaper $99 option. The hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast was pretty good but nothing special. It is very close to the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum (which is excellent) and the Mississippi History Museum (both museums are in the same building).

We stay here at least once a year. The rooms have an old charm. They are very comfortable and well decorated. The complementary breakfast has variety fo delicious foods. I love drinking coffee in the courtyard. Very peaceful. Friendly staff.
