If you are looking for a hotel/motel with regular amenities, you will not find them here. This place is set up for extended-stay only. The majority of the guests are retirees who stay here because they can't move into a rest home because of their pets, the working poor (lots of families with young children), and contractors. I found myself here because I needed to have a place where I could recover from some medical issues. The police have been around a lot because some of the people here use drugs. There are a lot of people partying especially on the weekends. There has even been gun fire here. There is no 24 hour staff. The office is usually open maybe between 10 am and 7 pm if you are lucky. There were quite a few times that the office didn't open until noon or later. On Sundays, the office is only open between 3:30 pm and 7 pm. Don't expect daily room-service. You will not get it here. I was here almost 5 months and I had somebody clean my room five times. The longest time between cleanings was 6 weeks. You need to buy your own toilet paper, wash the bath towels and wash cloths, take out your own trash, etc. I washed the pillow cases. The washers and dryers are $2 each and they do not always work. It is best to bring along your own broom and toilet brush because you are going to need them. Overall, the place is quite filthy. There are no trash cans outside so the guests just toss their garbage every where. You will find cigarette buts every where. The people in the office do not have any training in customer service. The property manager if she is around spends most of her time talking on her personal phone and standing around and smoking. The maintenance staff are a joke. What housekeeping staff there is, they normally do not stay long because of the property manager. Right now, the hotel is being remodeled. Over Twenty-five percent of the rooms are out of service. Currently, 15 rooms are being remodeled by a contractor who uses illegal aliens who shouldn't be working. One worker almost fell through the floor because the floor joists were rotten, He caused a large hole in the ceiling of the room below. You will have to deal with loud noise between 8 am and 7 pm. It is going to take at least a year totally get the hotel done. The parking lot needs to be totally redone because there are large cracks in the concrete. You are supposed to have free long-distance but the phones in the room do not work. The wifi-network is a joke. There have been times that it has been down over 24 hours. The elevator doesn't always work. Your sleep could be disturbed by chirping smoke detectors because people are too lazy to replace the batteries. What rooms that are available are pretty sub-par. The room that I was staying in had large rips in the carpeting and there was a large hole in one of the bathroom walls. The furniture isn't good enough to donate to a thrift store.

This hotel/motel was horrible. Upon checking in at 8:50pm when they were about to close their doors at 9:00pm-I have never known for a hotel to not have someone attending the front desk after 9pm, I was told that if i didn't have a reservation, they couldn't help me. I had a reservation and showed it to the rep at the desk and she said it still didn't show on her end. Even though I still had the reservation on my end, she was still hesitant to assist me. I am sooooooo glad that it was only a reservation and that I didn't pay for the room because I was told that they don't give refunds if we don't like the rooms. So I went to look at the room before purchasing...it was alright for the night because I had just got off a plane from California and drove 2 hours in the rain coming from New Orleans. Got the room for the night and next night until I could find another hotel. After being gone all day the next day and coming back in at 11:00pm, the room had not been cleaned and I had no clean towels and no toilet paper. I kept calling the after house emergency number and no one answered. I had to go to the gas station to purchase toilet paper and luckily I had some towels in my suitcase. After taking a shower, I saw 2 roaches climbing on the table. I called the afterhours number, packed my bags and went to another hotel. I called customer service to speak to someone and of course no one answered and their mailbox was full. When someone finally called me back from the hotel and I informed that I didn't have toilet paper and clean towels, the guy told me that i was supposed to take care of the toilet paper myself, they only supply it at check in and that I would have to wash my own towels and the rooms only get cleaned every 3 days depending on the stay. I would not recommend this hotel/motel to anyone.

My husband and I had the opportunity to attend a concert at the Saenger Theatre on a recent Friday night. We decided spend the night so that we wouldn't have to make the drive home so we made a reservation online. I admit, I did this in a hurry and without reading all of the info on the website. After the show, we drove to the hotel and arrived right at 11 pm. The office was dark and a sign on the door informed us that check-in's ended at 9 pm. Needless to say I was not happy but called the number for the courtesy officer. He answered promptly and after I explained that we had already paid for the room, he came to meet us. At this point, I must say - this man was very polite and probably the best part of our stay. He had a key to the office, he found our paperwork and room key, and was kind enough to tell me to call him if we had any issues. The room was clean but in rough shape. The comforter on one bed was torn; the carpet was stained, the smoke detector was pulled off the ceiling and hanging by a couple wire; the tiles on the bathroom floor were not glued down - just sitting on the floor and you could literally pick them up and place them anywhere. There were cigarette burns on the side of tub,and only two towels and wash clothes in a room with two double beds. No coffee maker, no disposable cups, no hair dryer. The positives: The parking lot is brightly lit. The A/C in the room worked fantastically - it was 64 degrees when we first walked in. I checked the website once I got home and it is a bit misleading as it states: Office hours are 11 am to 7 pm Monday-Wednesday and 11 am - 9 pm Thursday-Sunday. I made the assumption that check-in was a different story - it is not. We will not stay there again if we decide to do a weekend trip to the Hattiesburg area. It's a cheap place to stay but not what we expected.

I booked a room 4 days before my stay, using hotels.com. When I arrived to check in they told me they did not have any available rooms. I said I had a reservation and just needed to check in. I was then informed that they run on a “first come, first serve” basis and that there were not any rooms for me to check into. Thankfully I was able to find another hotel a mile away that was much more accommodating and I had no problems using hotels.com and checking in 10 min. later. This entire situation was a complete inconvenience and I was extremely disappointed.

This isn't the Ritz but it was an okay place to stay for an extended period of town. It did have a bad reputation but the new management doesn't allow any problems. The police pass through during their patrols. I was there for three months. This is the cheapest motel in the Hattiesburg area that charges by the week. Being that it was an extended-stay hotel/motel, the office wasn't open 24 hrs a day. Monday thru Saturday, the office opens at 11 am and closes at 7 pm, On Sundays, the office opens at 3 pm. The room was okay and the new management is trying to remodel the rooms as fast as they can. The staff was quite friendly. The room has a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. Large screen tv on the wall and wifi provided. Groceries can be bought at Big Lots and Winn Dixie and both of them are within walking distance. Quite a few fast-food restaurants close by including McDonalds, Subway, Taco Bell. There are also quite a few restaurants close by (MacAllister's Deli, Newks, Paneras., etc). There is a laundry room but a bit expensive ($1.75 for both washers and drivers (need to provide your own soap). The Turkey Creek Mall is close by and so is Walmart. Being that this is an extended-stay, people who stay needs to provide their own toilet paper and wash their towels and wash cloths. The housekeepers will wash and dry the bed linen.
