My husband and I escaped for a weekend without children. We had a lovely room at the Alluvian that overlooked Greenwood's "skyline". Great location, amenities and access to adventure. Highly recommend the Viking Cooking School and Alluvian Spa.

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Alluvian for our first visit to Greenwood, and it didn't disappoint. This quaint, boutique hotel in the heart of Greenwood had a friendly staff, large room accommodations, a fitness room, and amazing spa, among other features. Walking distance to shops and dining and complimentary shuttle service around the area. Great location...

What a delightful experience being at the Alluvian hotel. K and I arrived early and I asked for an early check in and I was kindly told that my room was ready. The front desk receptionist quickly checked me in and asked if I needed help with luggage. I declined and took one of the luggage carriers to the car....

We had the suite with a balcony overlooking Church Street. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was luxurious. Glad we had blackout curtains, as it was a bright morning. Excellent drinks in the lounge. The place just has a great feel to it. Self-serve breakfast on the veranda was adequate, and a server pouring coffee refills would be nice as it...

Really enjoyed our trip to Greenwood, MS. Hotel has great artwork by Bill Dunlap, and the views are nice if you enjoy small town Main Street. Views especially quaint from the rooftop terrace, and the large windows in each room. Spa across the street above Viking Cooking School was ultra clean and relaxingly quiet during the week. Polite receptionists and...

We live about 4 hours away from Greenwood by car and had many friends rave about the Alluvian and it did not disappoint. We booked a room for a Saturday night and attended a culinary class at the Viking Cooking School across the street while there. The hotel was originally built around 1917 and has been completely refurbished while retaining...

We were touring several Southern states, and stopped in Greenwood, based on the reputation of the Alluvian. Our room was excellent. Spacious and nicely decorated. Sleep quality was very good. Comfy bed with excellent linens. Air handling system was pretty quiet. There were room darkening shades on the windows--very nice. Could not hear any noise from other rooms. One night...

During the rest of the week the attached restaurant and other shops in the area provide good facilities. There was nowhere within safe walking distance on Sunday to go for a meal. The hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday and no room service was available. If I had been travelling on business for Monday meetings I would not have been...

Beautiful boutique hotel in walking distance of antique shops and a neat bookstore. I love all the artwork representing the Mississippi Delta. Delicious buffet breakfast that include cheese grits, egg soufflé, quality sausage and bacon and good coffee in a sunny room on 4 th floor. We also enjoyed reading in the courtyard . Unfortunately , our room was not...

My girlfriends and I have been staying here for at least 10 years for our college homecoming. We love the Alluvian so much that if it's sold out we contemplate not visiting that year. Honestly, no other hotel will do. We all come from different states and arriving at the Alluvian is like coming home. The staff is great. Denise...
