Spent (sadly) just one night in early November. Booked Palo Alto and it was WAY bigger and WAY nicer than the website pics showed. Host was on site when we arrived and gave us a note with all the info. Very rustic, old dusty country roads and great stargazing. Go to Robert Johnson's grave nearby, (you could walk). I think...

Arrived a little earlier to find our key on the door in an envelope at the reception. The shack we sated in was very nice, good kitchen area, nice big fridge and everything you could want. Music playing from an old looking radio from the local station, which was nice. As we were the only ones there, my wife got...

This is such a cool place- in the middle of nowhere! We stayed at Nellies an it was clean and a very cool shack, it smells kind of "old" but I guess that´s how it has to be. I was very disappointed with the service at this place. We found an envelope with a key and a note that told...

How often do you get the chance to stay in real sharecropper shack and still have all the comforts you would expect in a hotel room? Although the structure is authentic, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed. We had the best time just sitting on the front porch having a glass of wine in the evening....

Five of us stayed in the Red House at Tallahatchie Flats this past week. We really enjoyed our stay. You definitely cannot expect the furniture to be the best but the sleeper sofa was gross! We tried to pull it out and quickly decided not to so one of us had to sleep on the sofa. This needs to be...

I was greeted by Jessica who was very sweet and answered some questions I had about the area. The Palo Alto was clean, had soft towels, working AC. Our family spent many hours just porch sitting and occasionally walked down to the river to explore or read a book. It is very peaceful at night. Start a bonfire or star...

We began our epic road trip in St Louis on our way to Florida. Passing through Mississippi we weren't sure what we were going to do and then it all came together at the Tallahatchie Flats. There are 6 shacks just off the road on a 2000 acre farm. We were notified by text that no one would be there...

We were greeted by a envelope on the door which told us that the managers worked elsewhere and it showed us where to go with the key inside, this wasn't a problem at all and it was understandable. We stayed in the nellies flat which was really nice and quaint. Bathroom was cramped but does the trick. There was a...

We had a blast. Stayed in Palo Alto. Very clean. Couple of tips: 1. The shower is cramped. Be prepared 2. Bring your own soap. 3. Don't leave the porch light on in the summer. The bugs. Wow! 4. Enjoy a walk down the the Yazoo River. It's lovely. 5. Take a run down to Robert Johnson's grave site.

“We stayed in Tush Hog's. I would not suggest using the pull-out as those are generally filthy (we never looked at the pullout bed to verify). The queen bed and twin bed will sleep 2-3 just fine.”
