Where should I begin? From the moment we came up with the idea to have a surprise 75th birthday dinner for my wife Marie, in the private room at the Scarlet Steak House, our host Karol Brandt was enthusiastic about making it happen! She was instrumental in planning everything from the flowers, the three tiered cake, the balloons, all of this leading up to the private singer that was arranged to sing to my wife. She also was so kind to provide first class accommodations for my wife and I, as well as my family coming in from out of town. John, the supervisor of the Steakhouse was very helpful with assisting in leading my wife into the room full of family and friends making the surise a great success. He also assisted Karol in the planning and made the evening very enjoyable with his whit and humor to make everyone there feel at home. The server Maria along with her co-worker Lynne, provided 5 star service along with making sure my wife and guests received the utmost attention the entire evening. Maria and Lynn worked together to guarantee that all of us had a wonderful meal and their attention to detail was impressive. The bakery at The Pearl came up with the design for the cake which was a three tired cake layered with two almond white cake tiers, and one chocolate tier covered in beautiful flowers that was stunning to look at. The customer service here at The Pearl is always above and beyond, and this party was nothing less than perfect. To top the evening off for this 75th birthday, Karol worked with me to find a singer to personally sing my wife's favorite song so that we could dance to it to commemorate this wonderful event. This evening will always be a treasured memory in our hearts.

We found this jewel on our way to La. to visit family. It is relatively close to the interstate 10. It is cleaner than most hotels closer to the interstate. It certainly has more and nicer amenities than roadside hotels.
We have stayed here on several occasions on our way back and forth through here and will likely stay again.
The casino gives $20 gambling credit to new guests. Returning guests can continue to use their existing account points for property amenities. The property has a host of dining choices, exercise areas, pool and miniature golf.
The only downside is that there is little in the way of attractions in close proximity to the property. This is, I am sure, by design. They want you to stay inside and gamble. That is their business after all.
In summary, the hotel is much nicer than you can find nearer the interstate at the same price point

My wife and I recently stayed at the Scarlet Pearl and it was the best experience ! It all started with being upgraded and our new room was perfect and the champagne was a great touch. Everyone there was so nice they all spoke and greeted you and made you feel like you were at home, waitresses were prompt and friendly and the maids were very nice as well. No matter who you encountered from the property they all spoke and thanked you for being there it's exactly how a property is supposed to be and at other properties it just isn't. When this casino first opened the ventilation system to help with cigarette smoke was great! As of this last visit it was not working the same. I hope they get it back up to where it was, otherwise this casino will be smoky in a matter of no time, that feature was what I loved about the casino. You only smelled the smoke it you were right by a smoker and this time it was not the case,
The food for the most part is phenomenal. We tried the pizza place and it was so good! Fresh made to order! The buffet was good and the desserts are even better. A little disappointed with the beignets at Under the Oak. Those were my favorite but those time they came out undercooked and doughy in the middle and and about half the size as they were in the past, they did remake them but they were just ok, nothing great. The peanut butter pie is great!
At the cafe in the lobby of the casino, it has some great desserts. The seven layer bar is amazing! A huge serving, really like 4 pieces in one. The donuts were not my favorite, the salted caramel cookies is great!

We have been traveling quite a bit over the past few years and find it difficult to find a clean place to stay at a reasonable price. Then we tried the casinos. All are clean and reasonably priced but the Scarlet Pearl was great! Right on the beaten path but quiet and exceptionally clean. We had a non smoking room that was terrific! But you can still smell smoke. You just can. But it’s a great place to stay. Reasonably priced and CLEAN!

My husband and I got the most wonderful waitress at the oak cafe. She really made my day by her attitude, great job and beautiful smile and kind words. The food was delivered hot and compliments to the kitchen staff as well, all prepared nicely and full looking plates. We had decided to try the oak cafe instead of Ami as we’ve eaten there a few time and were getting more and more unhappy with their slim pizzas.

There are no instructions on how to adjust the blinds or shower
Our room had extension cords plugged into 3 places on the floor. Careful where you walk.
Mini fridge was in the closet which lights up whenever you open the doors. Not great at 2 am when you want a bottle of water. The lights are on a timer and very bright. Bad idea.

The hotel rooms in this resort were wonderful. Walk in showers & large sleeping area with comfy chairs. The beds were very comfortable & we did not notice any hall or adjoining room noise. Would definitely go back!!

We came with a family group (half to be playing in the casino and other half to hang out in pool and play miniature golf) and everything was closed because it rained one time at 2pm. Sky cleared by 2:30 and no rain for the rest of the day, but the amenities that we paid to enjoy stayed closed anyway. Just a heads up for families that they are trying to push you to use the casino only. We had to spend money at other resorts to use their amenities after paying $220 to stay at scarlet pearl.

Don’t waste your time coming to this really bad casino. The management in this casino should just put a basket at the front door and ask for donations. I have been to a lot of casinos in this country and by far the Scarlett Pearl leads the list in having an absolutely horrible payback. Yes, the hotel is nice but, I have noticed the rooms smell of cigarette smoke. As I said before don’t waste time at this casino, because believe me you will only walk away disgusted and feeling like you have been robbed.

I found on facebook someone said they "heard" SP was going to be totally non smoking. So yes, that makes sense once the new expansion is done, I am assuming that will be a non smoking building for sure. Thank you for replying.
