From the moment we arrived at this Inn, we absolutely loved it. Extremely comfortable with a few sitting areas dotted around and two lounges with soft and extremely comfy sofas and loungers, and a kitchen that you can access with snacks and drinks. Large garden great for birdwatching. Breakfast was self-service from the kitchens with fruit, cereal, different types of bread, soft cheese jams Etc - a really nice change to huge American breakfast. I've stayed in a few country houses in England and this compares well (albeit smaller) . Wandering down the staircase I definitely felt like lady of the manor! Sadly we only stayed one night but did try to cancel our hotel in memphis to stay another night here but couldn't. We went to ground Zero, very enjoyable and great 'tacos.'

Quite over priced. We thought we had a reservation for The Clark HOUSE.....Not the cottage outback that we were assigned to. The bathroom smelled of stale urine but the rest of the room was nice and clean. Also, there was a sick toddler next door violating the no children under 13 as advertised. He was also in the kitchen with an obvious URI and threw up in there. The porch was slick with moss and my husband and I both slipped on the surface.

I am very sorry you were unsatisfied with your stay. I would like to address the points you have made. 1. Cottage location: Our facility is made up of 8 rooms total - 5 in the main house, and 3 in the cottage. It appears that your reservation was made online. I am sorry if you were not aware of the cottage location. The description for Magnolia online when booking does start off with "Located in the cottage.." 2. The bathroom: While I am extremely sorry of any foul odor you may have experienced, a quick call to request housekeeping would have taken care of the problem. Unfortunately, this is the first I am hearing of this incident. 3. The child: Unfortunately, this guest did not disclose having a child in their party when booking or when checking in. I do apologize for that inconvenience, as it was not made known to us until after the guest had already stayed one night. Again, I do apologize for any discomfort/inconvenience caused to you during your stay. Thank you for your feedback.

A beautiful restored plantation type home in Clarksdale within walking distance of the main Blues Venues. Rooms were comfortable and the amenities great with several common areas and a well stocked fridge for snacks and breakfast. Don’t stay anywhere else if you can.
