It’s difficult for a hotel to shine in low season but I can’t help but feel this one is a big missed opportunity.

The property itself is ok, though it’s starting to show its age in terms of style and the public areas lack atmosphere - to be fair, not easy when there are only a f

The location and the bush land setting are idyllic. Our suite was well designed and appointed. Graeme, Kim and Terry were gracious and helpful (as were all the staff). I particularly want to compliment the housekeeping staff. There are some great walks nearby. The food was very g

We transferred to the hotel by private water taxi, a great way to arrive. The hotel consists of individual suites, designed so each has a view and doesn’t look into other rooms, There were stunning views of the coves from both the suites and the main restaurant block. We found t

The welcome upon arrival was incredibly friendly, which was followed by a yummy lunch. There certainly

Great place to really get away. Close to tracks, minimalist design, clean, and the views are simply fantastic. Staff know your name, treat you familiarly and always look for ways to make your stay better.

Do you have to get the meal plan while staying there? Or can you get the room only, and then buy food a la carte? If you have gotten the full bed, breakfast and dinner plan, do you think it was worth it?
That’s a really great question. Simple answer is ‘no’ you do not have to take the meal package when booking a room at the Resort. In terms of value - that is an individual preference. Some guests like to know that everything is all inclusive whilst others like to make that decision once they get here. I hope this is helpful. Graeme and Kim Smith | General Manager/s

Can you snorkel from the bay/beaches just off the shore or you have to get way out to see any marine life? How good is the snorkelling ,please?
There are some lovely marine reserves in the region such as Long Island - check out the DOC Parks website (link unable to be added to this site) from the lodge itself we would recommend swimming, kayaking,or going out to take a dive tour or snorkel tour with local operators to long island - or visits marine life from boat charters such as dolphins, (or swimming with dolphins) little blue penguins, many sea birds, and other marine life. Please email us directly for more details on all the possible options.
