From the very first call to John to the last second of checkout, the service was the best my wife and I have ever experienced. This is no small feat as we have traveled to 20+ different countries and about 40 states. I was born and raised in Brookhaven and moved away in 1985. I vividly remember this building being an old department that was a bit too expensive for my family. The old department store is now an immaculate inn that has pleases the senses at every turn. John, Sallie, and others were honestly the most accommodating and friendly hosts I have ever encountered. I don't make many recommendation but if you are anywhere near Brookhaven and in need of a safe and clean place to rest, I encourage you to pay a visit to the Inn at Whitworth. Luxury without the price tag! This will be my new go-to place when I pay a visit back home. Wayne T. Cary, NC…
This boutique hotel was such a pleasant surprise! We booked while traveling through Mississippi and were blown away by this place. Quaint small town with a wonderful pastry shop and dining options around the town square. The rooms are unique and luxurious. The innkeeper Sally showed us true Southern hospitality. The breakfast was exceptional with many healthy options as well as hearty options as well. We arrived after closing and were able to check ourselves in and help ourselves to snacks and drinks in the kitchen. We absolutely loved our short stay here!
Stayed at this delightful hotel on the way to NOLA! Rooms are very spacious and the owners very personable! They recommended several good places to eat dinner ! A very pleasant experience and would definitely go back!
The Inn on Whitworth is in the heart of downtown Brookhaven, which might not mean that much to some, but as a “Yankee” who lived in Manhattan for eight years, worked in the design industry and married a Brookhaven native, I’ve seen the town evolve from a small, provincial southern town into a charming, destination enclave. The Inn on Whitworth is a key element in the downtown area’s transformation. We stayed in the Suites (separate lofts around the corner from the main building) and were totally enamored with the MCM decor and the eclectic art. Breakfast in the main B&B is included and was self serve, but featured plenty of fresh fruit, baked goods and coffee. So excited to visit the “new” Brookhaven, and hope many others will stop in to experience its fantastic transformation!
Stayed here four nights in a Suite. The Inn is incredible. Comfortable, well appointed rooms, fantastic host, and a feeling you only get at home. I spend over 200 nights a year in hotels. This truly felt like my own loft and I we were beyond impressed. Not a lot of quality places to stay here when visiting family and now we will never stay anywhere else. Trust me, book this and feel the old world in. Charm in a trendy new building. Highly recommend staying here. I’m a little unusual in the fact I love trains. I slept in the front room as the tracks are outside the window and I got the feeling I used to get as a kid hearing the train. If you like it more quite the Suite has a back bedroom that’s much darker and very quite.
