stayed 5 nights, very small park not well run, just check in and thats it. No picnic table or grassy area...Very small park, probably wouldn't stay here again. Camped here in our 37' motor home towing a car
Most everything was fine with this camp. The sites were pull trough and fairly level. Water had good pressure. We were never able to connect to internet and there was only 1 channel for cable. So we disagree that they have the advertised internet and cable. There was some road noise from the interstate, but not too bad. The owners were very nice. The long term campers need to clean up their sites. Some of the other trailers look pretty rundown. Many campgrounds won’t allow RVs that are in this kind of shape. We were only there for a night so it served our purpose.
Stayed for a quick overnight and booked a pull thru site. Staff was super nice! Sites are narrow but level. It’s a tight fit for a Class A, we had to unhook the toad and back out of the site to get out. Very convenient to I10.
Needed a place for the night and it was just what we needed. Level spot, easy hook ups. Sheila has personality plus. She accidentally told us to take a spot that someone had booked on line, but caught it early enough that we just rolled right out and to another spot. Very friendly. Full hookups, internet, laundry, dog walk area and Good Sam’s member. There are some rather large holes in the driveway, but we just went very slowly. Close to the interstate, so easy to get on and off. This park is small and quiet. Thank you
Very nice management. It is not far from the interstate. Level suite but some what close together. Great online reservation system, with complete suite selection and paying system that allows you not to have to go into an office. If you have a big rig it is a little had to maneuver around.
We have stayed here a couple of times previously, so we were unprepared for what happened to us at Oaklawn RV Park. As full-time RVers, we often plan our itinerary months in advance. So we attempted to make a reservation about 6 months out. The owner would tell us to call back as she wasn’t taking reservations at that time. So we called back every month or so, and she continued refusing to take a reservation. Finally after about 6 attempts, she relented. When we arrived October 8th, we found a mostly empty park. The manager husband greeted us with a scowl, but took our money (for a month), and told us where to park. We followed directions exactly, and began leveling and setting up our RV. It was rainy, humid, and muddy that day, and we eventually had everything set up, including satellite, in about an hour. No sooner were we set up, and we got a call from the female owner. She was cursing and screaming that she had told us last year that we could not park in 2 spaces, and if we didn’t like it to leave. We attempted to explain that her husband had told us exactly where to park both our car and RV, and that is what we did. She told us again to leave if we weren’t going to follow her directions. We went back to the office, and told the husband/manager what had occurred, and he said that she could be like that. I asked, what is the problem, does she want us out because we are gay? He just shrugged his shoulders. We chose to leave where we weren’t wanted, and had to find another place to stay during a rainstorm. Luckily we found a much better place who welcomed us like all friends. They were shocked to hear what had occurred at Oaklawn. Below I will add pictures of others who were using 2 spaces at the park, as well as the mostly empty park from which we were booted. P.S. We are a very quiet, older couple, and have never had any issues as we have crisscrossed our beautiful country for years!…
We stayed here for a month mid March - mid April. It was convenient to Biloxi Gulf coast and shopping. The RV park is next to a clean mobile home park. There are some long-term residents. We had a back in site (backed up to a green area) and we were able to use the site next to us for our extra vehicle - which was very nice. Sites are gravel/grass and need something under the landing gear. Clean restrooms - but the showers do not have a dressing area. Laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers - 1.50 each). Both were very clean. Our main problem came from some loud highway noise from I-10. No cable but could pick up tv on air stations. Price was good.
We have stayed here twice now when visiting family. Park is very clean. I love it because it is very easy to get in and out of. We are in a dually pulling a 44.1 foot 5th wheel. Lois is extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again.
We are stopping in for an overnight stop, on our way to Florida. It's a small RV Park. It has nice, modern clean showers. Full hook up pull thru spots for our 27 ft travel trailer. WI Fi was great. Large fenced dog park.. We would stop here again
This is not a campground, but a RV park. There were no tent sites or campfire pits which makes a campground to me. There are no amenities such as a pool or playground. But there is a clean laundry room, nice machines at a reasonable cost. There are full hook-up utilities, level and easy pull through sites. Some highway noise, but no trains or airplane noise. I spoke to a friendly man in the park office. Sadly, this park is still struggling to survive because of operational costs imposed by the city of Biloxi since Katrina. Two highlights. This park had the best cable service we have ever seen. Many clear channels and even Music Choice. The wi-fi was also very good.
