Very nice management. It is not far from the interstate. Level suite but some what close together. Great online reservation system, with complete suite selection and paying system that allows you not to have to go into an office. If you have a big rig it is a little had to maneuver around.

Most everything was fine with this camp. The sites were pull trough and fairly level. Water had good pressure. We were never able to connect to internet and there was only 1 channel for cable. So we disagree that they have the advertised internet and cable. There was some road noise from the interstate, but not too bad. The owners were very nice. The long term campers need to clean up their sites. Some of the other trailers look pretty rundown. Many campgrounds won’t allow RVs that are in this kind of shape. We were only there for a night so it served our purpose.

Needed a place for the night and it was just what we needed. Level spot, easy hook ups. Sheila has personality plus. She accidentally told us to take a spot that someone had booked on line, but caught it early enough that we just rolled right out and to another spot. Very friendly. Full hookups, internet, laundry, dog walk area and Good Sam’s member. There are some rather large holes in the driveway, but we just went very slowly. Close to the interstate, so easy to get on and off. This park is small and quiet. Thank you

I stopped to get water in my RV and the guy told me he could rent me a spot for $39 dollars and I could fill up with water. I told him that had my 86 year old parents in the van and I just needed water and I would give him $20 for water. He said they don’t do that. I went a block away to Mezalas park and she let me fill up and pump out for $5.

Stayed for a quick overnight and booked a pull thru site. Staff was super nice!
Sites are narrow but level. It’s a tight fit for a Class A, we had to unhook the toad and back out of the site to get out.
Very convenient to I10.

We have stayed here a couple of times previously, so we were unprepared for what happened to us at Oaklawn RV Park. As full-time RVers, we often plan our itinerary months in advance. So we attempted to make a reservation about 6 months out. The owner would tell us to call back as she wasn’t taking reservations at that time. So we called back every month or so, and she continued refusing to take a reservation. Finally after about 6 attempts, she relented. When we arrived October 8th, we found a mostly empty park. The manager husband greeted us with a scowl, but took our money (for a month), and told us where to park. We followed directions exactly, and began leveling and setting up our RV. It was rainy, humid, and muddy that day, and we eventually had everything set up, including satellite, in about an hour. No sooner were we set up, and we got a call from the female owner. She was cursing and screaming that she had told us last year that we could not park in 2 spaces, and if we didn’t like it to leave. We attempted to explain that her husband had told us exactly where to park both our car and RV, and that is what we did. She told us again to leave if we weren’t going to follow her directions. We went back to the office, and told the husband/manager what had occurred, and he said that she could be like that. I asked, what is the problem, does she want us out because we are gay? He just shrugged his shoulders. We chose to leave where we weren’t wanted, and had to find another place to stay during a rainstorm. Luckily we found a much better place who welcomed us like all friends. They were shocked to hear what had occurred at Oaklawn. Below I will add pictures of others who were using 2 spaces at the park, as well as the mostly empty park from which we were booted.

P.S. We are a very quiet, older couple, and have never had any issues as we have crisscrossed our beautiful country for years!

Oaklawn RV Park was a good find for us! Easy on and off I-10, big rig friendly, warm and welcoming, and very affordable. We enjoyed their hospitality for over a month this summer and were a little sad to get back on the road.

Pulling into the gravel drive, you'll find a wooden office building with a deck around it on the right hand side. The laundry room as well as the men's and women's restroom/shower are down the deck just past the office. There was also a handy soda machine on the end of the deck at the time of our stay.

The owners, Lois & Selby Shoemaker, allowed us to pick any site we liked as long as we left a site between ours and any other occupied sites. They like to give guests the extra space for parking and comfort whenever possible which we sure appreciated during our long stay.

The pull-thru we wound up choosing wasn't quite level. We wound up throwing some pads down and it leveled fine with those. We had plenty of length to leave our tow car attached if we desired. The hook-ups all worked well with no issues. The water pressure was high but Selby had a reducer already on there to use. The site itself is a gravel parking pad with grass strip on the sides as well as a picnic table. The free wifi was one of the best we've encountered so far and even allowed us to watch some Netflix. I don't know if that would hold true with a maximum occupancy though since during our stay they were around a quarter full. The sites are wide open, no trees...some like that, some don't. We liked not having to clean up tree waste from our roof and slide topper :) There was plenty of room for our awnings so we got our shade with them.

Ants. We did spray our connections from time to time as there were ants to be found in the grass.

Pets are welcome, on a leash of course, potty bags are provided in two different grassy areas. There is no fenced run, so you'll get your exercise too with your dog.

The rv park shares property with a nice clean modular home park--rvs on one side, modular homes on the other. We mixed with the tenants while walking the dog and they were all pleasant and friendly. The modular home park seemed to be an all ages park so there were little ones riding bikes on the interior roadway and getting off of school buses. Be aware and drive slow.

The park is extremely close to I-10...in fact, we could see passing traffic through the trees so expect to hear traffic noise.

In the surrounding area there was a small boat launch, two additional rv parks (one almost next door), as well as a few businesses and homes. There is no store at this park so for a quick forgotten item or two, we used the store in the neighboring rv park and one of the gas stations up the road on the other side of the interstate. This is a rural location so fast food, grocery stores and the like are a few miles up or down the interstate but are easy drives. Domino's does deliver here ;)

This isn't an rv resort. This is a clean, comfortable rv park. We felt safe, comfortable and welcome here and they more than met our simple needs of big rig friendly, convenient to Biloxi, 50 amp, water, sewer, wifi, trash (dumpster), laundry, pet friendly, and a place to park our tow car...all at an affordable rate...maybe not so simple, ha ha. At any rate, Oaklawn met our needs and we're glad to have stayed with them.

We love stopping in at Oaklawn RV Park. Owners are friendly and remember us when we come. There are 3 RV parks on the same street, so be sure to go to the last one. It is easy to get in and out with large pull thru sites. The sites are all gravel with grass all around. The bath house is close and clean with digital locks and there is an assembly room for gatherings. It is just off interstate 10 near the beaches and Casinos. but not the hassle of the strip. Owners are gems, it is always clean and never expensive. If you are looking for a quick in and out while traveling the south or looking to stay awhile, this is the place to be.

We stayed here for a month mid March - mid April. It was convenient to Biloxi Gulf coast and shopping. The RV park is next to a clean mobile home park. There are some long-term residents. We had a back in site (backed up to a green area) and we were able to use the site next to us for our extra vehicle - which was very nice. Sites are gravel/grass and need something under the landing gear. Clean restrooms - but the showers do not have a dressing area. Laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers - 1.50 each). Both were very clean. Our main problem came from some loud highway noise from I-10. No cable but could pick up tv on air stations. Price was good.
