This is not a hotel but a condo. Better said it used to be a condo that has been turned into a hotel. Wife and I upgraded to a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit on the front and were blown away. The wrap around balcony on the 8th floor offered outstanding views. The unit had a full kitchen and was huge, The entire hotel looked to have been recently updated or maybe the place is just new. Very close to being a 5 star location in my view. Everything was very clean and in perfect shape. We did not cook but appeared the kitchen had everything needed to prepare anything i would cook. They offered a continental breakfast that was OK but not well attended. Nothing hot. Very nice lady taking care of the area. The office/check in was on the 3rd floor which was confusing at first. Very nice ladies there that were efficient. Excellent location for being on the beach. Quiet. White sand. On an outstanding boardwalk that went for miles in either direction. There were about 6 restaurants within walking distance which was nice. The one next door was very good. This would be one of the most outstanding places you could go to but..........the ocean is not nice. Brown water, very shallow, no waves. Very nice pool. We enjoyed the visit and will be back.…
The rooms were cheap but they were nasty and things in our room didn’t work. We had adjoining rooms and we all had to take showers in one room because one of the showers didn’t drain and it stopped spraying. Are room door also stopped shutting so anytime we left it was left a little bit open. There was cigarettes burns on the bedspreads and one of the beds even had blood on the sheets and we asked for non smoking rooms! When they would get the trash and things out of our rooms they just dropped the bags from the second floor to the ground and they would sit there for hours. We also didn’t even feel safe leaving our rooms by ourselves we are a bunch of girls and the people there would just sit in the pool or right outside of their rooms and stare at us the whole time. The rooms weren’t expensive so I guess we got it what we payed for but I expected it to be better than that!…
The hotel/condo was in a good location and it was nice and clean walking distance to the store and restaurants and the game room staff was friendly 5 minutes from casinos and 5 minutes from the mall and 10 minutes from the outlet mall we will stay here again
I stayed here for a weekend with my daughter and granddaughter for the REBA Concert. Our stay was wonderful, staff were awesome, the whole place was immaculate, and everything is close by . We loved it and will be back. Will also tell everyone about this great place.
The room was impeccably clean and spacious with beautifully folded towels. The attention to detail made our stay very pleasant and the receptionist was also kind. She let us look at two rooms before we decided to stay here. We had a "partial ocean view", which was fine as we spent most of the daytime outdoors anyway. Although it is located on a major thoroughfare, the rooms are well insulated. The bed was super comfy, the water pressure very good. And the toiletries were high-quality. We loved the large kitchen area. An overall relaxing and delightful experience!
This was my first time to stay at this property, but will not be my last. On a previous visit to Biloxi, I passed this place and was intrigued. Went in and asked if they happened to have an outside bar facing the water. They did and the view was spectacular. But what really made it great was the bartender Jen (J.J.). She was fantastic: friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. She sold me on the place. When my travels once again took me to Biloxi, I decided to give South Beach a try. The property is really a failed condo project from years back that has been turned into a hotel. As such, the rooms are significantly larger and each includes a kitchen of sorts. My room was good; not fancy or extravagant, but good. The furnishings are a bit dated, but not bad at all. And JJ and the bar were as good as I remembered. As a matter of fact, everyone I encountered at South Beach was great and went out of their way to help me or just say 'hi.; I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and will return.…
On 7-27-2012 my wife and I attempted to check in for a 5 night stay which we'd had reserved for 2 months. 3 days before, we'd been promised a certain room that we had stayed in several times before and which we strongly prefer. Upon checki-in the desk clerk informed us that room wasn't available and when we protested in the strength of what we'd been promised, the manager was called in and arrived with a surly attitude. At no time were we offered a different room, but were rather told that the hotel was sold out. When the altercation with the manager became heated, he unilaterally cancelled our reservation right in front of us and ordered us out of "his" hotel, threatening to call the police, of all things. I'm a 74-year old male undergoing chemotherapy, and my wife began crying. We left the hotel with no other place to go--having driven 7 hours from Houston to get there. A followup phone call with the hotel's general manager the following day failed to produce any satisfaction--basically a defense of her employee's behavior.…
The motel was in a good location in that you could walk to several restaurants. It also had a good pool. Was disappointed in that the bathroom doors would not stay shut. They went back into the wall, would stay there, and were very difficult to pull out again. Was also disappointed that it wasn't equipped very well for cooking. There was no skillet, spatula, or nothing to bake anything in the oven with. It only had a few eating utensils. It was pretty clean and most of the staff was friendly. This doesn't reflect on the hotel, but there was garbage from one end of the boardwalk to the other. Not very pleasant for taking a walk. Overall, too expensive for no more than you get.
As log as you don't arrive expecting luxury you will be fine. We rented a 2 bed/2 bath direct ocean view room and suited us just fine. The views are fantastic and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. The room is clean and spacious for a family of 4 or 5 but just has no wow factor. The towels are the worst I've seen in a hotel both for size and quality in 20 years. They were so small they looked like baby towels rather than adult towels, and incredibly thin. The mattresses also were very lumpy and springy in both bedrooms and need replacing. Room could also used updated pots, pans and silverware. Customer service was ok. No one went out of their way to make you feel welcomed (accept JJ the bartender) during your stay but all requests were fulfilled. JJ was phenomenal and really knows how to treat guests and make you feel like a long time friend. Loved her! If I was in the area again and got a good deal I would stay here again just for its location …
We totally appreciated the hospitality of the employees at the hotel. Everyone did everything possible to make our stay so pleasant. Great views!!!. Did I say great views?! Clean and bright rooms. Our room was one of the corner units. It was exceptionally large with split bedroom floor plan. Full Kitchen. Very large balcony. Only thing, I wish there was a Keurig type coffee pot. But, most hotels do not have that. Wonderful boardwalk along beach property to local restaurants. Would stay over and over. Elevators were perfect everytime and clean!
