We always stay here when we travel to the area. When you walk in you are greeted with freshly baked muffins in the cute little sack, cake balls on the bar, and snacks in the refrigerator. The beds are very comfortable and it is very clean. The ease of everything being ready for you with the door code provided makes check-in and out so simple. Very personal and I highly recommend it!

My husband and I had plans to go to the Big Bend area of Florida for my birthday weekend but Hurricane Idalia had other ideas- a couple of days before we were to go, we looked for Plan B and made a reservation for the Bay Town Inn- it was a great experience! We stayed two nights in The Lighthouse Suite (room 12), the only room upstairs in that building so it had a large private balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard area with two rockers, side table and two additional chairs providing a great place to sit and relax. The basket of information about things to do and places to eat or shop was helpful even though we have visited the area before. The host has thought of everything in this very clean and bright 750 sq ft room from charming decor, a comfy king size bed, two robes, a well stocked kitchenette, a large shower, fluffy towels, toiletries, hair dryer - the photos are exactly accurate. Additionally, we arrived to fresh flowers, a welcome note with two cake balls, and a first morning breakfast of coffee, freshly baked muffins, granola bars, yogurt, orange juice, coke, diet coke and waters in the refrigerator (complimentary). The commercial ice maker just downstairs by the pool was easy to access and handy. A hot cooked breakfast is included on Saturdays and Sundays- we had scrambled eggs, grits, bacon, sausage, muffins and a beautiful assortment of fruit (honeydew melon, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and pineapple arranged buffet style for self serve in the adjacent restaurant that was open only for hotel guests for breakfast from 9-10 a.m. It was delicious and a nice amenity. The pool was lovely and had plenty of seating areas and beach towels provided and we enjoyed cooling off there after walking around the very cute town of BSL. The landscaped courtyard and pool area was very private from the street. Two very important details were a designated parking spot (parking is challenging in some places in town) and being only a block from the main downtown area of restaurants, bars and shops so you never needed to use your car once you arrive and check in. We stayed at the Residence off Ruella. This was one of the Inns off site properties. The house was off the beaten path but close enough to the beach and downtown areas to walk. It has a swimming pool in the back yard which was nice. I would recommend a daily upkeep of the pool since it is nestled among some shedding trees. This is a 3 bedroom house and one bathroom. For two, it was fine. We did some additional cleaning for our standards and left some basic amenities for the next group that might need to be a standard such as a broom. Cleaned up the laundry room. Enjoyed the opportunity to cook a meal there with kitchen appliances. Might purchase a wine opener. Stayed a week and met the manager while at the pool. All in all, a good stay but would personally recommend some personal touches to make this property even more attractive.…

We arrived about an hour early and we offered to grab lunch but the hostess assured us our room was ready and we should settle in. The accommodations were clean and the staff was friendly. We will be back.

Everything was perfect for our brief getaway from New Orleans. The rooms were spacious and very clean. All the amenities were well-thought-out and excellent - down to having a fridge with some drinks and light breakfast snacks right there in the room for us. And the manager took wonderful care of us, was great to talk with, and ensured that we had just the perfect stay. We already look forward to our next visit.

My husband and I stumbled upon this gem while in town visiting a relative in the hospital. The hostess, Nikki, was gracious and helpful. She personally showed us to our room, and even left a bag of homemade muffins for us to eat the next morning for breakfast. The unit was beautifully decorated and included a full kitchen. It was quiet, but also convenient to walking to restaurants and shops. Would definitely choose to stay here again over a typical hotel.

Great property, clean rooms, attentive hosts. The weekend breakfast was awesome. We did get tired of the muffins, they seemed to be the same every day. But it was a nice gesture. We enjoyed the town, shops & restaurants.

My husband and I have been staying at Bay Town Inn for several years. We visit about every few months because we have such a wonderful time. The Inn is beautiful, peaceful and a great place to meet wonderful people. You can walk around the corner for great food and lovely shops and then come back and sit out by the pool and visit with everyone. The owner is fun, a great cook and an amazing, smart, kind lady. Hurry and make your reservation because the word is out what a jewel Bay Town Inn is!

Bay Town Inn was the perfect escape the heat staycation choice. Located on the beach road in Bay St. Louis, visitors can relax in a beautiful courtyard with a fabulous pool. A water dispenser with herb or citrus flavored water is available poolside by the ice machine. Our room, room 6 The Mermaid, was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Linens were of a good quality, hot water and pressure were excellent and the bed was comfortable. We had a living area, breakfast bar, kitchen, beautiful bath with walk in shower and king bedroom for less than most hotel rooms. The area is very walkable. Noise level was low. Check in was contact free and nicely handled. Breakfast is served on the weekend. Muffins are left during the week. The refrigerator held yogurt, juice, water and sodas. The cleaning methods were excellent. While enjoying pool time, I observed the guest services staff give meticulous care to cleaning procedures. Comforters, linens, towels were exchanged after each guest. Railings were sanitized daily. As the room was finished, the entrance door was sanitized and wiped down daily. Nikki should write a how to on maintaining a bed and breakfast. Every bit of the back breaking work of running a first class inn shows in this property. We will return. …
