Loved that everyone there (staff and guests) are super dedicated to seeing the mantas, the entire hotel would be on standby and be one of the first ones at Hanifaru Bay if mantas are spotted. The building is beautiful with a delightful courtyard, the rooms are spacious and clean, the beach front home reef is thriving, the food was delicious. The service was impeccable, Zimam confirmed my flight transfer within 1 day, Ryshyn and the Liquid Salt dive team are always brimming with passion.
Amazing place ... A real dream come true ... Staff's are very friendly and ready to help ... All have a big smile .. the trips were arrange for diving and snorkeling ... And the dive instructors are one of a kind so happy to show us the amazing place ... Like they say "ITS BETTER IN BAA AND BEST AT AVEYLA" FACT IS CLEAR
This is dive resort in a league of its own. A lovely well thought out boutique hotel with a causal elegance and relaxing ambiance. The rooms are spacious with lovely views of coconut trees and the incredibly beautiful ocean glimmering. The beach was great with shade under the trees and lounge chairs for sun bathers. In the rooms the air conditioning worked perfectly and was quiet, but even more importantly the bed was the sort that you normally find at a five star resort, a giant soft and very comfortable mattress that gave you an excellent nights sleep. The Wi-Fi was fast and included. The owner Ryshyn was well spoken and a wonderful host, fun to chat with, smart, a great dive leader, good sense of humor, great positive attitude, informative, and on the ball. He really worked hard to make the whole experience exceptional, from the diving, swimming with the Manta Rays, to making sure everyone was safe, having fun and taken care of. Every detail was attended to with a smile. We loved the restaurant and while the menu was limited (to be expected on a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean), the food was decent. A special thanks to Mannish (spelling?) our waiter, always a big smile, remembered all the details of our food preferences, prompt service, with a great attitude. Every detail of this hotel was excellent, from the flatware, fresh juices, to the cool music softly playing in the background. We loved that you could walk down the beach and then along the airstrip, past the harbor and back to the resort at Sunset time. The tiny village in the middle allowed visitors to see how Maldivian people live and everyone was friendly and cordial to us. We highly recommend this hotel and the Liquid Salt dive company (same owner). If your going to the Maldives this is the a gem!…
The Staff is amazing here, and did everything possible to make my visit a perfect diving holiday. And they succeeded 100x over. The rooms, food, beach front are one of the most relaxing hotels I've every stayed in. And the diving is world class ! Walk the island, snorkel the reef, take 1000 pictures. I loved my visit.
Ahmed and Ryshyn are the managers who have run Aveyla for some years. As a solo female, I felt so welcome, safe and looked after by the whole team. The 2 story building has impressive architecture with an open air atrium and the place has around 10 well furnished and spacious clean rooms with en-suite, safe, a/c and ceiling fans and the most comfortable big beds. The restaurant has a lovely mix of dishes serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with great service provided by Manish. The internet worked well for me in my room, the guest areas and on the beach and a couple of guests were remote working on their laptops and had no trouble with their Zoom video calls etc. I contacted the Aveyla directly via WhatsApp and Ahmed was really helpful with managing my booking of a lovely ocean view room and arranging a transfer flight to the island and transfer - all at a really good price, much better than I could have arranged online for both accommodation and flights so I would recommend Googling or looking up contact details on FB for a great booking experience. Ahmed can advise and organise excursions and as with everyone at Aveyla, is kind and a completely trustworthy soul. Ryshyn is a master dive instructor and I learnt how to dive with him and felt in very safe hands - it was a wonderful and surreal experience seeing turtles up close and so many beautiful fish in the bluest sea I have ever seen. I met experienced divers over my stay who were all over the moon following their dive experiences with Ryshyn and his great boat crew and they would come back buzzing with tales of the array of sea life they had encountered. The island is small and not a big touristy place so you feel really safe walking around and exploring the forest and village. You really get a real taste of Maldivian island life and you feel very welcome wherever you go. There are limited shops but this adds to the simple charm of the place and there are some shops near the harbour and a handful of cafes and hotels. Layers cafe, opposite the mosque, just a few minutes walk from Aveyla, is well worth a visit for their set lunch of freshly cooked Maldivian food and has the friendliest family who run the place. Lots of flora and fauna to see around the island and the most stunning and quiet white sand beaches to explore - or relax in a hammock or lounger, or enjoy a delicious lunch on the beach and read a good book or go snorkelling! Simple stress free island life. I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay. The S E Asia PADI manager, who was on a short visit, told me he had travelled the Maldives as part of his job for many years and Aveyla Manta Village is the best kept secret in the Maldives - I couldn’t agree more, the stars aligned when I stumbled across this place. Not only is it a home from home, but I left feeling I have gained a new family. I highly recommend staying at Aveyla Manta Village. I really hope to visit again in Manta season to swim with those beautiful gentle giants in what is the only UNESCO biosphere reserve in the Maldives. And maybe get to see the bioluminescence of the plankton at night under the biggest moon and star filled sky….…
Really enjoyed our stay on Dharavandhoo! Nice local Island with friendly and helpful people. Aveyla is awesome! Nice rooms, fanatastic food, good service, we couldn’t ask for more. We really recommend this place!
Amazing place, on a beautiful beach and with great diving just a few minutes away. The food was good, the company great. Nice design with a lot of wood and stone. Lot of common spaces where you can meet the other travelers. The owner is a super fun and nice guy. Passionate and experienced diver. Impossible to not recommend. We were too late for the manta season but it looks like an extraordinary experience... so will come back!
I had a wonderful stay at Aveyla where the facilities, food, and service were all superb. The location couldn't be better - right on the beach, and walking distance from the airport and the dive shop. The staff were very accommodating, and the atmosphere in general was very relaxing. I would highly recommend it.
We had the most peaceful, idyllic holiday at this charming boutique resort. Aveyla feels like home... If home was in paradise. Wonderful hospitality from the smiling staff and the amazing Ahmed who made sure that every little desire was fulfilled. From the time we landed at Male, there was someone waiting to lead you seamlessly to the next step of the journey, we didn't have to worry about a single thing. Our room was comfortable and faced the sea, the hammocks outside invite you to kick back and just relax. The food was simple and delicious. But it was special in a way that holidays rarely are because Ahmed is truly Superman in disguise, from swimming with the mantas to diving off the reef, from my super romantic beach dinner to the fabulous Manta cake he flew in for Male for me as a surprise... he made sure that everything was just perfection. We came back feeling pampered and cared for in a way that even extremely fancy hotels wouldn't have a clue of how to achieve. Thank you Ahmed, Mipoo, Manish and all the wonderful staff at Aveyla for a perfect holiday 🤗…
We have just returned from our 3rd stay with Ahmed and his friendly and helpful team. As before the Aveyla did not disappoint... all the travel Admin was covered by the team , our room was clean, and cleaned daily , the local food was delicious , and the beach was stunning . The Diving was excellent visibility was restricted due to the plankton in the water , but that's why the Mantas are there , over the 2 weeks we dived in 28 C water (at 30 meters) seeing Manta Rays, Sharks , Whale Sharks , Rays , Turtles ..and so much more We have returned rested and chilled ... just perfect
