Rooms are large and comfortable. It is a little loud being near the main road. Staff was very nice. We didn't eat much from the buffet breakfast so they made us scrambled eggs. Food off of the menu was good.

Shambalala hotel is located along the Main Street of the city of Hosaena. It is a rather new building with large and clean rooms that have their own bathrooms and a small balcony. There is a restaurant outside which was nice for coffee in the afternoon and also serves pizza. Breakfast and dinner can be eaten in the restaurant indoors. Water was working in the room. Bed and bedding was nice. The hotel has ambitions of being international but there are major things to work on: Wi-fi was supposed to be working "but not on floor 3" where I was staying. Wi-fi worked in the reception. There is a small gym in an adjacent building with two or three working treadmills, some bicycles and step machines. It was nice and full of people in the morning hours, around 6 am, but closed when I came at 4 pm and hence I was walking around a bit to find somebody who had the key. The corridor outside my room had no light and was pitch dark at night. The dining hall, on the other hand, had flickering lights that were quite disturbing. Breakfast served from 6 was not visible from 6. Toilet paper and towels missing in the room but provided when I asked. No housekeeping during the day, I do not think anyone really knew I was in that room... Most staff spoke very little English and the person at the reception was very nice, but repeating that breakfast was from 6, although it was already 6.20 and I had to leave the place. Shambalala Hotel has a potential, but the market seems to be small and the hotel is likely a bit too pricy for the local market.
