We spend one night last week here and enjoyed both the stay, the hosts and the other guests. The hosts were both very welcoming and very knowledgable with great recommendations for places to eat and sights to see We were pleasantly surprised to learn they had an arrangement with the Minnesota Marine Art Museum allowing their guests to visit for...

The house was wonderful, and breakfast was always delicious. I would recommend Carriage House to anyone! What truly made my stay such a memorable experience were the hosts. Don and his daughter made me feel like part of the family. Heartfelt and enlightening conversations warmed every cold October morning. It made it hard to leave.

Our first contact with the owner, Don, was impressive. I got personable texts confirming our stay and letting me know he would pick us up from the train station. He actually watches for arrival time! The Carriage House itself is appealing on so many levels, not the least of which are the owners/managers and their story. This B&B has been...

We were in town over the Christmas weekend this year visiting relatives who already had a full house. Don was extremely helpful and accommodating in making sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. The house is very conveniently and centrally located in a good residential neighborhood. Everything is in excellent shape, all rooms clean and comfortable. It's...

We've stayed in different rooms each year when visiting. Both were comfortable and quiet -- everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Don was very welcoming and attentive. It is so conveniently located to go to the theater productions: we could leave the car parked and walk. The dining room is large and pleasant for breakfasts. They remembered food preferences and...

Truly the best option for lodging close to downtown and Winona State University at a very reasonable rate. Hearty breakfast included too! The owner, Don, and general manager, Tara, are excellent hosts.

I traveled to Winona for a conference at the university, and couldn't have been happier with Carriage House. My room was very comfortable, and the refrigerator outside my door was stocked with free soft drinks and water, welcome during a very warm fall week. The hosts, Don and Tara, are amazing and extremely helpful--and they make a delicious breakfast! I'm...

Don his daughter Tara are really attentive to details and are genuinely interested in making sure your stay is wonderful. We enjoyed our time whether we...

I really hate giving a poor or Meh review, but I feel like that's the best I can give this Bed & Breakfast. We needed a last minute room in Winona to visit our son who is a Winona State University student. Usually we stay at the Days Inn or Super 8, but since our daughter wasn't coming along, we...

We are so sorry to hear your stay was anything less than wonderful. It sounds like you found the staff to be friendly, the room clean, and the breakfast enjoyable so we are happy to hear so many parts of your stay were positive. Should you decide to stay with us again, you need only let us know about the...

The room was charming. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Tara and Don were very friendly, and we had a nice chat with Don in the evening. Lovely people. Close to the river and lakes, within walking distance of lots of cafes and restaurants. We would definitely come here again.
