Stopped for a drink on a lovely summer's evening. My jaw dropped when we entered the bar - not with delight, but dismay. I felt really angry. The main bar is dreadfully tired, with rotten carpet, old shoddy furniture, dirty walls, loose cables etc. I believe these owners have been here a year now and if that's so, then there... More

Great location with stunning views, the food was beautifully cooked and the service was excellent . My only criticism is that dogs are allowed in the eating area. But this would not put me off, we will definitely return. The beach at Crackington Haven is well worth a visit too.

This large historical inn is well positioned by Crackington haven beach and has fabulous views over the bay. We booked a table for 9 for dinner, and our well behaved dog was able to sit under the table which was in prime position in bay window to enjoy the sunset. Food was hot, tasty and well presented with good sized... More

Came here for 2 lots of evening meals, and both times were very pleased. While the main reception room may seem well used, the function room and dining room were fine. The menu is small, which means they focus on quality not quantity and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Will return and would recommend.

Sunday 14.8.16 Lunch was rare roast beef with red cabbage, swede and carrot puree, roast pots, roast parsnips, winter greens cooked to perfection and Yorkshire pud served with horseradish sauce. My partner had char grilled med rare veal rump steak also cooked to perfection. Simply the best meal out for a long time! Someone in that kitchen can cook!!! We... More

Came here on the last night of our camping holiday. In the day, I'd popped in and booked a table with a really friendly lady. She pointed around the room asking which table we'd prefer. I pointed down the steps to the big table near the window overlooking the beach/sea and said that we'd like that one. She then wrote... More

Considering where this pub and restaurant is located with its beautiful views, the best part of our visit was walking out as soon as we came in. Even the dartboard had seen better days... The decor was uninviting, dark and dingy.

We visited as two families, so five children under ten between us. Really pleasantly surprised at how very good the food was - excellent prawn cocktail (and I've had a few in my time, so recognise a good one!), followed by excellent chilli dog. Children's portions really good value & good choice on the menu. A really nice evening, topped... More

We love the Coombe Barton and have visited regularly for years however this time the pool table had gone both from the main bar and what was the family room - very disapointing and a distinct lack of atmosphere - there is no where for children to play either as the family room is full or laid tables and the... We ate here tonight thinking it would be average based on trip advisor reviews. However it was really good and a really great pub. Large portions that we couldn't get through. !! The view was stunning and the bay fantastic. We had a beef dish which was lovely if a little large.
