Friendly welcoming staff and locals, great service, and delicious dinner on Saturday night, do not be put off by the decor. This place is under new ownership ( June 2015) and is a gem in the making. We were so impressed we came back to enjoy a delicious Sunday roast, choice of lamb, chicken, beef or pork, all generous well... More

Visited for a family Sunday lunch. Believe this has recently changed ownership and was very busy with diners and drinkers. Don't be too put off by decor. Table service was very friendly and attentive staff with a good locals atmosphere. The menu provided a good selection for a cold November day. My son and I had the cream of cauliflower... More

We drink here every weekend in summer as long as its warm enough to sit outside, I'm not overly keen inside but thats just my opinion. Friendly staff, mix of locals and visitors. Great fish and chips, haven't tried any other meals. Dog friendly and offers fantastic views of the beach and stunning sunsets. Parking can be a problem as... More

Unrecognisable from the farmhouse and muddy cow yard that was here when I was young. Nice too that one no longer has to walk to Wainhouse Corner for a pint. Also very nice is that magnificent view from the bar. With a pint of Cornish cyder, what could be better? Noted bar billiards & dart boards.( lots of silverware on... More

Ate here twice over the course of a short break because the food was so good and the service was so efficient and welcoming. We were advised the place is under new management and it really shows that they are going the extra mile. The food is reasonably priced, but excellent. Table service for drinks and food was a nice... We ate here on the first night of our week long stay in Crackington Haven, loved the welcome, the fact that you could take dogs in, and the simplicity of the menu. The beer is well kept, nice local ales and a good choice. The menu is pretty small, but couple it with the specials menu and you have plenty... More

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our room didn't have a sea view but we had a lovely view of the surrounding hills. The room was light and airy and the bathroom a very good size. Everything was extremely clean and the room had everything you could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we were made... Decided to pop in for dinner at this pub by the beach, menu was nicely simple and reasonably priced which is refreshing for this part of the world. Five of us had varied orders which were all quite good but marred by portion control. Why not put 50p on the cost and put enough chips on the plate?

Top quality pub food, prompt service, and a wonderful view of the sunset as a bonus. Limited menu changed daily to ensure freshness and variety. Under new management and improving rapidly. Dog friendly. Thoroughly recommended.
