Great Vacation with family. Staff is very nice and have things available for kids and adults. Cabin we were in was huge with 4.5 bath and 8 bedrooms. Rooms were pretty clean and loved the huge kitchen and dining area. Bad thing was musty smell in kitchen and the floor was coming apart and bubbles in floor. Hopefully the floor gets replaced cause not safe. Other issue was back screened in patio...could have been nice with some good cleaning or power washing. With some good cleaning and updates with some fresh sand on volleyball court would definitely come back. Love and beach and able to use water boards, kayak, and open area. Great activitys for kids daily and pool was very nice. Love not a ton of guest there at a time with the small area. 5 familys made great memories in the cabin and hope to come back. This place will stay busy and booked with detailed cleaning and maintaining... as the owner said Working Progress and love seeing a family business.

This was the first time we stayed at the Spirit Of The North resort. We stayed in the Sportsman which had a great screened in porch that overlooked the lake. It had plenty of seating and was a nice hang out place. The cabin was clean and has tons of room for our 4 person family. The kids room had a full and 3 twins. Enough room for cousins to stay over as well. 2 baths and a nice kitchen. The other family with us stayed in the Timberwolf. 3 beds 2 baths. Very nice and clean again. The grounds are clean with plenty to do. Swimming beach had tons of chairs to lay out in sun, as well as paddle boards and kayaks which our kids loved. No extra fees either. The beach and swim area also had a trampoline and swim pad- so fun! Boats available to rent and piers to fish. The owners were very nice and accommodating. Not a bad word to say.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Spirit of the North Resort. Tim, Sue, TJ & Tara are the best hosts in the business and make you feel at home! We love the pool, train rides, turtle races, minnow races, the amazing race, beach area, water bikes, kayak's, water trampoline, bunnies, volleyball court, campfires, game room, the extra attention from Tara through kids activities and crafts.......the list could go on forever! We love having the "outdoorsy feel" with town (shopping :) ) mere minutes away! The cabins are clean and have an amazing view of Leech Lake - absolutely amazing sunsets! We've seen the resort grow over the years, but they never lose the family feel and they are always willing to go the extra mile for their guests! Thanks Anderson's for all the memories!

This is a great place for family vacations, couples getaway, reunions, or fishing trips. There is no extra charges for equipment rental (tubes, kayaks, paddle boards, water skis, water bikes) and boat/pontoon rental prices are reasonable. They even do water ski lessons! There is a game room in the lodge and an indoor heated pool and a sauna. The cabins are updated and there is cabins from 2 bedrooms to 8 bedrooms. Aside from the amenities, the Anderson's go above and beyond to accommodate any extra needs you may have, and offer daily kids activities, including paper lantern decorating (and lighting), arts and crafts, scavenger hunt, turtle races, train rides, and much more. There is no better resort for families with kids!
