Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed ourselves! We had a room with a lovely view of Leech Lake, and could see the full moon at night and the sunrise in the mornings. The fall colors had just begun and were prettier every day. What a spot! We sat outside several times in the swing or chairs down by the lake and once heard the call of a loon. We took a canoe ride on the lake with the equipment available for guests. Gary and Sandra are wonderful hosts! They take great pride in their hospitality and resort. Gary went out of his way to make sure we knew the best parts of the bike trails we intended to ride, and the best trails to hike at the 2 state parks we visited. The breakfasts were delicious and different each of the 4 mornings. Gary also helped us with restaurant information, including menus on hand to consult. The B&B has a very homey atmosphere, with a big family room available to guests, cute cabin decorations, and even a fire pit outside. There were always yummy brownies to help ourselves to, a tea and coffee self-service area, and other beverages available, too. There is a refrigerator for guests to use. We highly recommend this B&B and had a very nice stay.

Sandra and Gary provided us with the most satisfying get away from it all weekend. The location on Leech Lake is picturesque and calm. The house is comfortable and clean. We availed ourselves of the free-to-use kayaks each day of our stay. The breakfasts served in front of spectacular views of the lake were delicious and served with love. We felt right at home and were sorry that we weren't there long enough to take one of their many bikes out for a ride. They provide everything so that all you have to worry about is nothing. Nearby Walker, MN, has lots of cute shops and restaurants. There is a lot to do within 30 miles of the B&B. We are already planning our next trip back.

Rent the Bay View room, keep the curtains up when you go to bed, and be ready to be dazzled when you wake up at sunrise over Leech Lake as seen from your bed. That is if it is not cloudy. This room is second-floor with windows on three side.

We have stayed at this B&B multiple times and always enjoy the rooms, the common areas, the delicious breakfasts and the accommodating, friendly hosts. The view is beautiful, especially the sunrises. The location has been very convenient for x-country skiing, snowshoeing (right on the lake), hiking, kayaking/canoeing and biking. So much attention to detail is shown including different table settings every day with even the mugs on the coffee/hot chocolate station being changed out to match!

This was the first bed and breakfast that my wife and I have ever stayed at in our 38 years of marriage. We never considered a B&B before, but Leech Lake B&B fit our requirements of 2 nights on a lake with a dock for our boat. Gary allowed us an early check-in so we could get out on the lake.
When we arrived, we had a friendly greeting from Sandra and Gary, given a tour and shown to our room. We found the area quiet, clean, and roomy. The weather was hot but there is plenty of shade and the wind off the lake made it very comfortable outside.
Gary offered to help me launch and pull out our boat; I gladly accepted his help and my wife was very grateful that she did not need to be involved. We saw bald eagles, pelicans, loons, and ducks.
I took advantage of the free bikes and the scenic bike trail that goes past the B&B. They have a good selection of nice bikes in good working condition.
The breakfast was amazing, and most people could not finish all of it, but I did. They had some souvenirs of food and recipes for sale and we bought some.
We had a relaxing and fun time conversing with the Gary, Sandra, and the other guests. We had a wonderful but short stay and plan to return.

We were enjoying a two night getaway in the area before picking up our son from camp in the Bemidji area and were glad to stumble onto Leech Lake B&B. I think "Resort" is a bit ambitious to describe this cozy family home that has been expanded to host up to 8 guests, but it certainly delivers as a hospitable, comfortable B&B. Gary is the host with all the answers, suggestions, and folksy wisdom you might need! The breakfast was large and delicious, and the coffee was always hot. They even adjusted the checkin schedule when we found a local masseuse (Julia from Shear Image) to come do a massage in our room. We didn't try the bikes or kayaks, but enjoyed his recommendation for a daytrip to Itasca State Park and the headwaters of the Mississippi, where there was a fantastic 17 mile bike loop. The food and other amenities were great, but the best part was sitting quietly on the deck listening to the ducks and taking in the tranquil scenery.

We were warmly greeted by Gary and Sandra and felt at home the minute we stepped in. Gary gave us the tour and showed us the lovely property. Many nice touches including a bottle of wine, cookies and snacks, plenty of relaxing places to sit and 24 hour tea/coffee service (try the homemade chai, trust me! I even bought a few jars to bring home). We loved our room, the bay view suite, as it had windows surrounding to listen to the loons at night and see the sunrise in the morning. Breakfast was delicious and we left feeling full and grateful for the kind couple for opening up their home. We look forward to hopefully returning in the future!

The facility was very clean, spacious and right on Leech Lake. Breakfast was quite good. Our room had a lovely view of the lake. If you like a Christian atmosphere this will be the place for you. The hosts are very friendly, one of them somewhat overly so, though that tends to be a personal taste. Lots of resources are provided, e.g., directions, guidance, boats, bicycles, etc. A nice spot to your from. Be sure to visit Lakes Itasca and Bemidji. Both are about a 40 minute drive.

Gary and Sandra are some of the loveliest people I have ever met. We have stayed at their B&B twice. They warmly welcome you into their beautiful home. You instantly feel at ease to utilize the common areas to relax or commune with other guests, play a game of pool, help finish a puzzle, read a book, or watch something on the TV, it's your choice. The two rooms we have stayed in were very well appointed with everything we needed, including heated pads on the bed for those chilly nights we get in Minnesota, and with our last visit they have added sound machines in the bedroom. We stayed in the Bayview Suite which is like having your own retreat get-away with an amazing view of the grounds and lake. The park-like grounds are immaculately cared for and enhance the view of the lake. The food is fabulous and I promise you will not need lunch after the amazing spread they will present to you at their breakfast table. There are coffee and tea fixings available 24 hrs along with home-baked cookies and other snacks. This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at in our 40 years of marriage. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to friends and family.

Gary and Sandra's home is so warm and inviting, set on a gorgeous park-like piece of property. We only stayed one night, but wish we would have had time to stay longer. Gary and Sandra are genuine, good-hearted people that open their home to you more like family than just a guest. We stayed in the Up North Suite was very comfortable and we found it to have everything we needed. Having a private full bath was wonderful! The breakfast was delicious and very filling, which we needed for the full day of activities we had planned. Our favorite part of our stay was the conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time getting to know Gary & Sandra. We would highly recommend Leech Lake B & B to friends and family that are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay on Leech Lake at a place that feels like home!

I am not sure about pet friendly, we left Bobo at home. This would be a question for the owners or look on their web page. But regardless THIS IS A GREST B&B, soooo relaxing
