We chose Leech Lake B&B for our 5th anniversary celebration and so glad we did. We've stayed many nice places and this was one of the best and most memorable. The house is beautiful and the room spectacular. Every detail is attended to inside and out for maximum enjoyment and relaxation. The hosts know what they're doing and Gary is a really fun personality who provides great conversation and knowledge of the area. The breakfasts were great too. Stay here, you'll love it. 😊
We had a wonderful stay at the Leech Lake B & B andGary and Sandra were great hosts making us feel very welcome. They took time to share all amenities available for our use in the B & B and places of interest including restaurants in the Walker area. It was clean, the bed very comfortable and our room had a fabulous view of the lake. Breakfasts were great and so was the conversation.
Clean and roomy suites with many thoughtful touches. Comfortable king bed with dual control heating and fantastic breakfast were standouts. But nothing could beat the warmth and attentiveness of our wonderful hosts Gary and Sandy. We will be back.
Gary and Sandra are the nicest hosts of a B&B I have ever experienced personally. Will be returning over the summer and I recommend any couple to visit Leech Lake Resort B&B. Walker, MN is a prime location that has a lot of activity you can partake in. Highly recommend.
Very comfortable accommodations with super friendly hosts. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The breakfasts are INCREDIBLE! The Bayview suite is magical. We highly recommend this place!
From beginning to all-too-soon end, our weekend stay with Gary and Sandra was everything we could have hoped for. We stayed in the Bay View Suite and enjoyed coffee in the morning and a glass of wine each evening taking in the serene lake view while warmed by our cozy fireplace. Breakfast was hearty and delicious and only surpassed by the company we shared it with. After Gary's thorough briefing on activities and restaurants available in the area, we spent one day exploring Itasca State Park on snowshoes and enjoyed a couple delicious meals at locally owned restaurants in Walker. We're already looking for another weekend to get back.
Jan 17/18 2022. Decided to look for a BNB not too far from home for a quick 2 day getaway. Found Leech Lake BNB and were thrilled we did. The setting on the lake was beautiful and the rooms were very clean, wonderfully decorated and comfortable. Our Innkeepers, Gary and Sandra absolutely understand hospitality. In fact, look at the commonalities in all the reviews, you will feel more than a guest and more like extended family. Since we stayed in Mid-January, we enjoyed a view out over the frozen and snow covered lake (and very active squirrels in the trees just outside). There is a reason this BNB has hosted 5,000+ guests from 53 countries (wow). The breakfasts are spectacular. We were looking for a strengthening our relationship in a relaxing environment and decided we were at the place we were meant to be and at the right time. Gary and Sandra, Thank you so much for your warmth and hospitality. May God bless you in the future.…
Stay on November 2-6,2021 . Very beautiful accommodations. Loved seeing sunrise on the lake each morning. Exceptional hot breakfast each morning and the customer service was excellent. We were in the Harbor Bay Room overlooking the lake. The only complaint I have: I was considering rebooking the same room to celebrate our wedding anniversary next year, however, I normally travel with my registered Service Dog and asked if it would be a problem to bring Teddy with us and the answer was yes! The Website states no pets! I did not consider bringing Teddy on this November trip because I was there for medical appointment in Bemidji and having testing done. It is a matter of discrimination to not allow a Service Animal in any facility for any reason. However, they are expected to follow certain guidelines set for service animals, or they can be asked to be removed from the facility. This is a legal issue. A service dog must be registered and meet at least one physical and one emotional need. Teddy is registered. He will only walk on my right side (which I have drop foot on) and his task is to remind me to lift my right foot to avoid falling. His emotional task is he serves as a distraction and deep comfort to me when I am experiencing severe pain throughout my body (that cannot be managed with any medication) that I deal with on a daily basis. Sadly to say, because of this discrimination I will not be considering this property in the future! At some point Leech Lake B & B will have to resolve the issues surrounding this discrimination and it’s legalities!…
We were greeted and showed around by Gary when we arrived. He gave us maps and tips of things to do in the area--very informative! We stayed for two nights in the Back Woods Suites--very comfortable. The breakfasts were huge and delicious with great conversations with our hosts. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area! We are sure it would be a great place to relax and enjoy the lake in the summer! Bruce and Anita
