We were looking for something close by on a lake we had never explored and found Leech lake B&B. We had the honeymoon suite and it was lovely and filled with many extra surprises. A bottle of wine and rose pedals made it very special on top of the magnificent views of leech lake. Windows on 3 side but homes very close by so we kept the 2 sides closed for privacy. Other than that the property is large with many sitting areas and fun things to do. We used one of the double kayaks to explore the lake and relaxed on the dock. Gary was extremely helpful and MR Minnesota nice for sure. The home and amenities are lovely and the hospitality is over and above. We brought our jet ski and Gary helped get it in and out of the water and even enjoyed a ride which we all got a kick out of. Breakfast was exceptional and a lot of yummy food! We had a wonderful weekend and it was so much fun.…
The rooms here are great!!! Lots of "lil things" needed in the rooms to make the stay nice. Breakfast are so good which is half of it when staying at a B&B! You'll be pleased. They are very accommodating. There is yard space and the lake is just steps away, GORGEOUS!!! Great biking trails close by, great amenities. Absolutely the only negative (if you'd call it that) is Gary is very social and likes to talk and visit and may ask to go to lunch or dinner....so if it's hard for you to say no or that you just want to spend the time with your spouse......there's that. I would recommend.
I very much enjoyed my experience. They are very accommodating and wonderful people. Highly recommend. They have a lot to offer and the breakfest was very delicious. Very homely feeling they bring even though I was very far from home.
So enjoyed staying in this beautiful home. Breakfast was large and tasty. Outside chairs and hammock to relax on or a large lounge with tv and lots of films. We sat outside around the fire pit with the other guests and enjoyed a night of good conversation. Before that we took the tandem for a ride on the nearby cycle path. We wish we had longer to spend there. Gary and Sandra great hosts and we hope they get to visit Northern Ireland soon.
I was looking to plan a relaxing getaway for my husband and I for the purposes of winding down and relaxing. To be honest, we had never done the B and B thing, so weren't sure what to expect. We arrived to a very welcoming environment, and a wonderful room! It was quite, so peaceful and just what we were looking for. We spent the day looking at the outdoor winter scene, cozied up reading a book, drinking wine. It was the perfect early winter getaway to relax. The hosts were so easy to talk with and the breakfasts were wonderful with generous portions we didnt need lunch! We are excited to return in the summer. Definitely recommend!
