5 star rating. Staff was friendly & helpful. The Motel is in a quiet location. The price is reasonable for the rooms. It’s pet friendly facility which is excellent!! A perfect light breakfast with access to coffee in the lobby all day if needed.
We had a room reserved and upon check in at the front desk associate Patty could not locate it. The original price was $79 but now we were paying $99. We had a wedding to attend that afternoon so went ahead and checked in. The hallways had junk and boxes throughout along with air conditioners stacked in boxes throughout the property. After attending the reception, we went back to hotel and upon pulling the sheets back there were little black bugs all over. The sheets had multiple stains and dirt marks. It was late at night with nowhere else to sleep so we called the front desk and got new sheets. We placed the sheets on top of the bed and within 30 minutes you could visibly see bugs crawling on those sheets as well. My husband and myself ended up sleeping in our vehicle that night and upon speaking to the owner, Arom things just got worse. We requested to have a refund given and Arom will not comply. He has not returned any calls or messages and has taken no responsibility or accountability as a business owner. Think twice about staying at this disgusting property, It is not worth bringing bed bugs home to your family.…
checked in first room TV didn't work, microwave gross inside, floors dirty, lamp didn't work looked at two more rooms, one, again microwave not clean inside TV didn't work, next room so HOT heat on high would not shut off they finally shut it off at breaker.wood floors was dirty hadn't been washed in what looked like a while, curtains couldn't cover the entire window let in all the lights from outside which was a lot, the halls and stairs needed attention. Stayed two days as there are no other pet friendly hotels close never saw anyone from housekeeping had to take our trash out and no one is ever at the front desk you always have to call them.
Been staying at the Waconia Inn now for the last 3 years for my summer vacation. Staff is wonderful.....were more than happy to accomodate my requests. My room was comfortable and I slept like a baby since I found it to be very quiet. The continental breakfast was always stocked and hit the spot every morning. Made my trip complete and look forward to next summer. Susan....Canada
Stayed two nights at the Waconia Inn, looks like the properly was flooded and the DIY restoration is inconsistent at best. Really noisy window rattler AC that barely cooled the room, plastic mattress protector made me sweat all night. No ice machine and no refrigerator. On the positive side, good shower, decent coffee in the lobby, and an actual gallon jug of 2% milk in the refrigerator in the lobby. Can't really recommend, but there aren't many choices in this neighborhood
Sadly this hotel, although they have friendly staff is run down, dirty and sad . The beds are horribly uncomfortable, its was our only available option the night we stayed but I would never stay again. The outside and parking lot were quite run down as well. Complete overhall is needed. We had to ask that our room be cleaned again as soon as we checked up. Sink area was dirty as was tub.
Clean but very limited service. Shampoo is in a little single pouch and soap was so small it broke when I washed my hands. We went to the store to buy our own. They emptied our trash and dropped off a towel, but didn’t enter the room to clean during our stay. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for.
We were very happy with the accommodations at this hotel. Especially with the manager, I think her name was Kristen. She needed to check us in very late and was very cordial about doing that and also very helpful in all other aspects of our stay
The price was right. Rather than a 90 mile round trip to our home and back, I. made reservations here. The room was clean, the shower was very nice. Only disappointment was that the restaurant next door was not open in the evening and the vending machine selection was limited.
Not a lot of motel options in this area. The Waconia Inn and Suites looks a bit worn on the outside, but it is a good choice for basic overnight shelter for visits to Waconia and vicinity. It appears to have had some interior refurbish since my last visit. The room is clean and has all the basic needs met. There is plenty of parking lot space and the desk clerk was friendly. It is convenient to restaurants and stores in the area as well as Hwy 5. The cost was considerably cheaper than the competition.
