This is a very nice and clean property. We stayed in the actual lighthouse. The rooms were very nice, along with comfortable mattress. There were board games for us to play in the evening, otherwise with the location you can walk the break wall, take a walk along the shore or sit outside and enjoy the view. The only issue are the stairs. Stairs to get into the building and all of the bedrooms/bathroom is on the second floor. But we will be staying again.
Everything you could ever want. Beautiful view, beautiful design, beautifully kept, and top it off with incredibly accommodating hosts that go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I'll remember my stay here for the rest of my life.
This is my absolute favorite place! Staying at an actual lighthouse and on beautiful Lake Superior, is the most amazing thing ever! It is so beautiful there. The lighthouse is very clean and beautifully decorated. I love it!!
We’ve stayed in the Skiff House 3 years in a row, and will plan to keep coming back each year. The property is beautiful, with full views of Lake Superior. The accommodations are nice and cozy. We love staying in a place with so much history.
Only had the opportunity to stay one night but it was very peaceful and quiet. Great views and location, Nearby connected trails were great to walk and see a number of deer!!!!! There is also a walkway out to the dock light which is a nice short trip!!!!
The Lighthouse B&B is amazing. Everything about this place is charming. My friends and I were already making plans to come back before we even left. It's everything you dream of and so much more. The lighthouse is so beautiful and we saw three ships! The wildlife were all over the place and for once in my life, I was not chased by a Goose! They seemed to tolerate us being around and we loved it!! Put this place on your list of places to stay. You won't be disappointed!
Very special & unique property. Loved our one night stay and wish we had more time there. No tv, or wifi was actually perfect for the ambience and we found great local jazzy radio station to accompany a lightning storm! If we were staying for more than 2 nights, the lack of wifi might be an issue (we’d need to upgrade our data plan to unlimited). We loved being lighthouse “keepers” for the night without any responsibilities! Do note, you cannot access the glass cupola, or walkway at very top, but that should not deter you from staying here. The cookies left for our check-in and the voucher for local cafe was a wonderful touch. MeLisa was a great communicator and we hope we can return one day!
My daughter did this as a late Father's Day present. We drove up to the North Shore and along the way visited many sites from earlier days on our trips to the Shore. That night all the family surprised me at the Lighthouse B and B. We had a wonderful stay. Dinner in town, hoisted a couple at the brewery and watched the ore boats come and go. A great surprise by my family that will be long remembered.
What a fantastic experience! I've visited the area many times and always wanted to stay here so I finally decided to make it happen. The entire experience exceeded my expectations! The rooms were beautifully decorated and everything was super clean. The lighthouse tower itself has wonderful placards on display with a wealth of historical information and pictures. The living room is full of interesting artifacts, such amazing history! Being able to listen to Lake Superior at night and the sounds from the Two Harbors Iron Ore docks were so relaxing. The Fresnel lens on display in the dining room is mesmerizing! I appreciated the voucher for breakfast at a local in town restaurant and the fresh cookies that awaited me upon my arrival. I will definitely stay here again!
We have stayed here 5 times, every time it has been enjoyable and relaxing. We will be back again. stayed in the skiff house this time and really enjoyed the cozy feel of this little room. woke up to a ship in port and the signal horn blowing. How cool is that for an alarm? I think we should be still putting up the flag in the morning and taking it down in the evening tho. Also, miss feeding the deer, but I understand they have their social distancing stuff going on as well with CWD. But all in all this is a must experience for all that would like a different one.
