Wonderful stay at one of the new 36 campsites - very nice as each site has full hooks on each side so in a motor home you can pull in straight with a lake view A bargain at 38.00 however in this area there are no restroom or showers there are 102 sites in the other camping area

We had water, electric and sewer hook-up, therefore we did not use the bath house. The office had a great selection of informational brochures about the area, the front desk clerk was also very helpful.

My husband & I decided to go camping for our honeymoon. We got the last tent site available. It was a site located right on the lake. Beautiful view of Lake Superior. The campground is very clean, and well kept. The shower houses were always clean. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights... More

There are a few more private sites but generally most of the sites here are fairly open. That said, the location is good and the lake is right there. It was pretty foggy during my visit so I couldn't see very well but well enough to see that it would be very pretty on clearer days. Well priced and clean... More

Great sites along the shore of Lake Superior but they book out a year in advance. Each site had water, electric, some with sewer, all had picnic table and fire ring. Front desk very helpful. Only drawback are bathhouse, shower facilities. Not enough for demand and overuse caused unclean conditions very quickly. Need to check them several times throughout the... More

Close camp sites. Kind of open not a lot of shade. We are glad it's close to town. It's on the bike trail. Also we are close to Lake Superior that is always beautiful. Sites have power and water. Town is cool ate at black woods for lunch great food and beer.

Reservations..... I didn't call but used the website to make the reservations. Took about 3 minutes and done! Simple! Sites..... I've been here many times. Sites 73 and 75 had nice views. Be careful when picking some of the sites since your door may be facing woods or the road instead of the lake. If you have a huge RV... More

No privacy here. Easy to get in and out. Nice view of lake superior. Stayed there twice, firewood was wet both times. Bathrooms are a little tired. They don't answer the phone but they will call back.

My husband and I were here 2 nights in July 2014. We were in the front row of the new area and right across the road from Lake Superior. Gorgeous sunrises and we could watch the ships coming and going from inside our camper! Saw a doe and her fawn in town by the woods one morning. No trees in... More

The sites along the lake have an incredible view but pray for courteous neighbors because they are only a few feet away! We had a great site by the stairs to the lake. Could step out in the morning with coffee and watch the sunrise. One word of warning, it is the only stairs and they didn't even leave a... More
