Stayed in Raymonds Cabin (one of two that allows dogs, which we had). Very rustic, and just a step up from camping... however, it was just what we expected and were looking for. Breakfast was AMAZING and all the staff were very pleasant. Nice touches like weekend happy hour and cookies in the lobby make your stay comfortable. As others...

Hello Lauren, Thank you for your nice review of your stay at our historic inn. Since your post we have scheduled the cabin for deep cleaning and we will also be renovating the shower this week (June 6 & 7, 2015). I am excited for the renovation and will post photos on our website when it is completed. An interesting...

We spent one night here in Christopher's room. Very sweet but very small. Luckily we are smaller people. If you are over 6 foot pick another room. The full breakfast was amazing...don't miss it. Plus the grandson to John Spicer the founder of Spicer, MN give a 15 min talk on the Spicer family...very informative and special.

Thank you for taking the time to write your kind review of our historic inn. I will pass on your kind comments to Allen who gave a talk about the history of the inn and our area. We are working with our local technology systems contractors to offer WIFI in all our guestrooms. The products are ordered and should arrive...

We have been wanting to stay here and were disappointed. Neat old house needs paint and cement work. Cleaning staff great but the woman office staff didn't even say hello (actually turn her back on us). Did not feel welcome. Nice breakfast but it was the same both days. Chef was wearing old camo clothing - not very professional. Small...

We had been wanting to do the Murder Mystery Dinner for a number of years, and I'm glad that we finally got around to it. We had a blast, and ended up making a few new friends. As others have mentioned, the property is indeed dated, but that's sort of the point. This is not a "luxury" b&b in the...

The romance and nostalgia here are off the charts! This house has not been updated since 1912 and it shows. Life was simpler back then, rooms were smaller and you were more than likely using an outhouse. These days there are bathrooms in the rooms but they are small. This place is ideal if you love wandering around old builtins...

This is not a luxurious updated B & B. It's a step back in time, a bit like visiting my greatgrandparents' farm. It has the look and feel of authenticity. Rooms in the main building are charmingly decorated and comfortable. The location is wonderful, right on the lake and with a wraparound 4 seasons porch area that allows for hanging...

We rented the Raymond cabin which had a picture window about 10 feet from the lake. The bathroom was tiny. (When you use the toilet, your knees may be under the sink). The bed loft is accessed by a ladder. So, it is rustic. The breakfast was a yogurt parfait, a muffin and a waffle filled with creme cheese and...

The Spicer Castle was built in the late 19th century, on the eastern shore of Green Lake. It was last remodeled, if I recall the owner's comments correctly, in 1921. That shows, so don't expect deluxe accomodations. What you can expect is a quiet stay in a comfortable, older facility staffed by very friendly people who are attentive to your...

We were looking for a "mini-honeymoon" getaway relatively close to home and a Google search helped us to find Spicer Castle Inn. The pictures on the website were extremely accurate in their portrayal of the beautiful scenery and historic home. Neither me nor my husband had ever had a B&B experience, so the atmosphere and experience were so welcome in...
