While the Spicer Castle Inn is a little careworn and at times a little understaffed, the friendly staff worked very hard to make our stay enjoyable. The food was excellent. We had breakfast at the Inn both Sunday and Monday mornings of the 3-day weekend, and it was both well-prepared and well-presented. We also ate in the restaurant at the...

We came as part of a group of 20 for my husbands office holiday party. It was a total surprise to the entire group, the boss rented a charter bus and we had cocktails on the bus on the way there. It was dark and we were not familiar with the area so when we pulled in it was an...

A group of us participated in the murder mystery on New Years Eve. Walking in I really did not know what to except. Our show did not start till 8pm and eating a five course meal that late was a little too much for me, knowing this upfront we thought we would give it a try. The servers worked really...

We had a group of 15 that had never been to a murder mystery dinner before. Let me tell you the food was amazing! we had the Pork tenderloin and the 5 course meal option. The host was great and explained everything to us on how to play. We laughed for hours as we tried to solve the murder! The...

Green Lake is Beautiful and Spicer Castle is a great place to enjoy the lake. The Mystery Dinners are fun and well orchestrated with the Castle Staff. The rooms are lovely and comfortable we stayed in Martha and William which are a small cabin on the property. There is very little light pollution so the stars are brilliant especially from...

Nice little inn and restaurant on south end of Green Lake. Good food and great views of the lake. Owners and staff are very nice and accommodating. They have a murder mystery dinner that I would highly recommend. So much fun.

We had made our reservation on a travel site. I ended up calling and getting more info on my room and check in times. The staff helped me change my room and dates to a smaller cabin so we could stay an extra day. I could not be happier with our time there. The owner even stayed up (til midnight)...

First off - the reviews noting the wear and tear on the Inn are fair - the home is in need of updates and repairs. Even just some cosmetic upgrades would do wonders! (Landscaping, plant some flowers, get rid of junk/garbage around the property, etc.) Aside from that - our stay was very nice. The staff was extremely accommodating, the...

We decided to stay at the "castle" for an overnight visit. We have stayed in historic B&Bs all around the country and understand quaint and old - but the Spicer Castle Inn lacks charm and simple amenities. The furniture in our space was uncomfortable to sit (cracked wicker chair) and the bed had no pillows! They had pillows with decorative...
